I've just seen a video (link below) about how long penetration in sex lasts according to a study. Note that we're not including foreplay. Here are the timings:
Men take on average 5.4 to 5.7 minutes.
Women say 3-7 minutes is adequate but 7-13 minutes is desirable.
This surprised me. I wouldn't have thought women would want the penetration to last as long as that. I'd have thought it might get a bit boring.
For us it's all about the foreplay. I (Luke) thought I take a long time to cum but seeing this maybe I'm more normal than I thought. Maybe the amount of time I think I take is not the reality.
So what do you think? If you get the amount of foreplay you want (be it long or short), how long do you like penetration to last? Have you ever even thought about it in this way? All thoughts welcome. I'm curious.

I'm sure if men pounded it non stop in the same position it wouldn't take that long. But sex is about changing it up flipping from foreplay to penetration, alternating sex positions and exploring each others bodies. That's a session that lasts a hell of a lot longer than 5 minutes. |

That makes a lot of sense to me. When we've had others in our bed that's very much how it goes. Different people get different things at different points. Not all the penetration comes in one hit. |

I agree too. As most of my sex now is mmf, the female gets a lot of penetration but from two different guys and in a lot of different positions, so we carry on until she's had enough and asks us to cum. |
