What bit of advice were you given as a teen that you hated/were sure was totally wrong but as you got older turned out to be totally correct?
Have you ever told the person who gave it you that they were right?
Even before I was a teenager my mum always said never put sharp knives in the washing up water and don't hold pins in your mouth (unless they're from a grenade) in case you sneeze.
I remember my mum every single time I wash up or hold pins in my mouth. I'm afraid although her advice was correct I don't take it.
When leaving Army, my resettlement was HGV driving, hated it after a year or so. My Mum & Dad said follow your passion Son. Now 25yrs a Pilot, best job in the world.
