On Lovehoney they were doing a special offer on Lelo toys.

For some reason it ended up coming through as 10% of the original price rather than 10% off. So I got a Sona Cruse, pleasure balls and their wand for 10% of the price. I was very happy.

Recently I found a beautiful item of clothing for a social. Brand new with tags. On Vinted. Still retailing for £80. I've just paid under £12 including post and packaging for it. I love bargains.

For 25£ I can write a lot of stupid, boring stuff.

you can't stop me.

I can have my 15 second of fame occasionally.

Can be the underdog in a reality show.

Can be hated more than Nickleback.

Can see a lot of nice photos and sometimes chat/interact with gorgeous women.

As long as I don't aim too high, it's a bargain.

I cry less often since I'm here.

Learned an interesting fact about Hugo Boss recently. They made a lot of the uniforms for the SS and German Army during WW2

It’s just history. Factories in all countries stopped producing their own stuff and produced uniforms, munitions etc. It’s called a war effort. When we did it it’s touted as British resolve …. They did nothing wrong by supporting their own army.

Yes.

I'm sure some people in such organisations were actively complicit - and some allied countries had companies complicit in bad shit we've done. I'm not sure whether we should judge companies today on that basis.

Some years ago now, when visiting my late mother in Bournemouth one weekend, we went to the car boot held at Hurn airport...

....amongst a few dozen old military-themed books scattered on a blanket I found an original 1933 English translation of a certain dictator's infamous book about his 'Struggle'...

....I asked "how much?" and could scarcely believe it when the casual reply was "all books 10p"...

....I sold it a couple of weeks later on eBay for slightly under £100...

The good old 'negative pricing' - those were the days!

Back where we used to live, there were numerous occasions when our local Tesco's reduced price section had BOGOF or '2 for 3' items where the reduced prices were less than the discounted price of the 'free' one...

....eventually, someone realised that sometimes they were paying us to buy the products, and reducing the prices automatically cancelled the multi-buy offers...

As long as it doesn’t smell of decay or embalming fluid you’re good to go.

All I’ve ever found are some nice quality waistcoats.

A few years ago a lady friend bought a LV Bag for £5 from a charity shop happy in the thought that it was a good fake.

A relative of mine was working for LV at the time so she offered to take it in to work to see the response, lo and behold it was verified as being genuine, my friend still has the bag.

I went in a charity shop to look for suitable stuff for a Peaky Blinders party. Spotted a men’s cashmere coat on the rack, on closer inspection - quality, superb as-new condition, sumptuous lining, by a Saville Row tailors, a beautiful thing. Now I’m a problem size, long arms and wide shoulders- nothing fits off the peg, but I slipped on this coat and it was like it had been made for me, literally a perfect tailored fit. Took off the coat I was wearing, emptied pockets and handed it over, paid £12 for the found coat and walked out feeling incredibly pleased.
