I don’t get some people on here. Not sure if other experience it however twice now…

Example -

Sent a very polite and complimentary message to a couple (Not just saying that to make myself appear in the right) - I am a polite guy. Attached a fairly decent face pic - no sausage pics etc. asked if I could join them with a FWB following a social in a bar / coffee shop prior to make sure we are suitable.

Absolutely no pressure or suggestions etc. no “your not my thing, too young, sorry but not interested. Even complimented her fella for goodness sake. - blocked.

I love FAB and have met some incredible people and experienced things sexually I never thought I would. However it also has its its fair share of rude people who spoil it!

Anyways rant over - hope everyone has an incredible evening x

Random blocking is rife

I exchanged over 20 messages with a woman recently, then she blocked me for no obvious reason. I didn't even get around to asking for a meet, showing her the sausage or suggesting that I tie her up.

OP I have to ask. When you get scam calls or the spam mail through your letter box, do you phone them up/write a letter to them to say you're not interested? Women, Couples, TV/TS and even some lucky men can get an insane level of mail so replying to all of them would be a waste of time. Blocking people is just there to make sure they don't message again. It isn't personal mate, its just the internet and people can block for whatever reason they deem fit. It isn't rude to not be interested in someone and people aren't obligated to give a reply. It's literally stated in the site's F.A.Q or something.

Some people don’t like meeting FWBs - prefer a ‘proper’ couple. Also best to have a couples profile if messaging as a couple

Don’t sweat it - it’s probably just a way for them to keep track of who they are not interested in, rather than personal

One thing you need to learn in life - you are not entitled to anyone’s time. Nobody has to entertain your suggestion of meeting. Nobody has to respond or tiptoe around a stranger that has approached them. That applies on here and in real life.

I was surprised once when I commented on a thread and 4 women responded very negatively which bearing in mind it was a very light-hearted thread I thought was unwarranted.

When I went to look all 4 of them had blocked me.

I had never engaged directly with any of them in the forums or elsewhere and they were all in a different country anyway.

It didn't bother me at all and I was more surprised at the verbal attack than the blocking.

Don’t take it personally OP. Loads of people use the block button as a filtering tool. It doesn’t mean they have anything against you - you just might not be what they’re looking for. It’s far quicker and easier to block than it is to send a reply rejecting someone, or ignore them and have to potentially deal with a repeat message.

Nobody owes you a reply. Blocking is just one of many tools available to users.

It's highly likely they weren't interested and chose to block you to prevent you messaging again.

No point fretting about it

Thank you all for your replies.

A lot taken onboard.

I wasn’t suggesting that I feel insulted or sad that I had been blocked.

Also I get the blocking as a filtering tool - I generally block women looking for obscenely large tooled black men (because that will never be me! ) - that being said, people who message me always get a reply - even those who are not what I’m looking for.

I can imagine that recent times I have been blocked they were incredibly attractive and more than likely get flooded with messages.

Anyway thank you again for your replies and enjoy fab (sorry if I annoyed anyone btw with this post)

Yeah, I get where you're coming from as 8t costs nothing to just reply with a no thank you.

But it does seem the norm to get blocked when someone decided you aren't their cup of tea.

In their defenses though, I can only imagine that a good number of guys are rude, obnoxious arse holes who can't cope with a damaged ego so, so they get nasty.

Maybe that's why folk prefer to block? To avoid them?

Id always be polite and say no thanks though, manors cost nothing do they.... And THEN block.

I see blocking as just another form of filtering on here.

I block regularly the profiles that come up on my ‘local updates’ if:

- they don’t meet my criteria

- I don’t meet their criteria

- something just doesn’t feel right

It keeps my local feed nice and tidy, it’s just housekeeping.

If you feel that your experience is being spoiled and you felt the need to have a rant because you were blocked by a complete stranger then you’re way, way too sensitive OP. I’m not telling you how to feel but life must be a real struggle for you if getting blocked by a stranger has that much of an affect on you, I can’t imagine how you’d react if you ever get blocked by someone you actually know….it sounds like you’re doing a lot better here than the majority of single men as you’ve stated that you have experienced things sexually that you never dreamt of experiencing, are you seriously letting being blocked by a stranger spoil the experience of having sex that is beyond your dreams?

I agree that it is a bit rude to not reply when someone sends them a polite and respectful message but to say that it spoils the experience of having better sex than you ever dreamt about seems a bit of an overreaction. Not holding the door open for someone who’s following you through is rude so if you went to the most amazing restaurant in the world and ate food that was better than any food you have ever dreamt about eating but when you were leaving someone went through the door just before you and didn’t hold it open for you would you say the experience was ruined because someone did something that’s a bit rude?

Everyone’s free to feel how they want to feel and to rant about whatever they want to rant about, everyone’s also free to not reply to and block anyone they want to. You didn’t ask for it I know, but some advice I would give you is to get over yourself and stop letting things that don’t matter at all have such a big affect on you. You’ll find that life is a lot more enjoyable once you stop caring about the things that really don’t matter.

It clearly states on the sites FAQ no reply = not interested.

Also a reply to someone stops future filters from working. Which is why I either don't reply or reply then block.

Nobody is entitled to a reply from anyone.

You've offered to meet somebody you have never had any contact with. No initial messages to say hello. You're going straight into a suggested meet, with the addition of somebody you don't even share a profile with. And you can't understand why is very unappealing to somebody? You have a lot to learn. If we received a message like that we are certainly not going to be interested and are highly unlikely to reply, even though we personally wouldn't block just for this.

You are not entitled to a reply just because you sent what you consider to be a good message. They didn't like the message and don't want communication with you. Seriously. Grow up and get over it.

Regardless what you think is right and wrong... Remember there's humans on the other side of that profile. Ditto, our experience is that when we ask to contact said female (whom we accept might not be on here) then there's often an excuse which backs us away..

Not critiquing the Ops profile but there's no mention of any FWB arrangement si that's another red flag..

I'm not interested in,

that looks like drama,

that plays games,

sends me a dickhead message, unsolicited cock pic,

Video of them fucking someone else.

Won't send a face pic,

Moves the day of a social,

Cancels a social,

There are several things on a profile that will be an instant block if I see them.
