couple, us we him her.

In your opinion?

It could be drama or comedy, period piece, medical, historical, fantasy.

My personal pic's

Game of thrones for the depth of characters, the writing and acting has there ever been a show with so many great villains?

.

Roots.

A heartbreaking and inspiring.

Amazing acting.

.

The boy's from the black stuff.

Has there ever been a show that captures the feeling of the people at a point in time so perfectly?

Gis a job

London

Top two for me:

1-Game of thrones-never been so gripped on a TV show and every character in the show, lived there was a cliffhanger at the end of every episode.

2- Only fools and horses- such a funny simple show which carries on to this day.

Also would like to give a shout-out to the sopranos, just watching it now and I am absolutely hooked with it all x

Obligatory Firefly mention.

I'll also have to say that Doctor Who has been going for 60 years; annd despite some variations in quality, it's best is up there with the best of any show.

How about "Our Friends in the North"

Great early performances from a number of actors who went on to more popular stuff, realistic characters and social commentary across a generation that is relevant today. Not sure why it never got a repeat.

Travelling

Game of thrones is forever tarnished. Even the good stuff of the first seasons. I can no longer recommend it for people to watch. No other show has risen to such heights and then fallen so quickly. Jamie and Bronn's bromance trip to Dorne was the beginning of the end and showed that they could no longer write without the source of the book hand holding them. It can no longer be considered one of the greats. It's sad.

Breaking Bad one of the best made shows by far.

Special shout out to both Buffy and Sopranos for what they did for TV shows going forward. They pushed the popularity for season long story arch's better than anything else at the time. Very few shows had quite the same continuity

Cheshire

Edge of Darkness a very dark drama / thriller about Nuclear industry.

The Sweeney, suddenly in the 70’s no more Dixon of Dock Green, these guys were just as bad as the villains.

Phoenix Nights, personal as I’m from Bolton and the humour hits home.

Derry Girls, comedy about growing up around the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

Could do a list of all the great US TV but this would be my UK list.

Breaking Bad

Dexter (the first 5 series)

We started watching Firefly recently and after 4 episodes stopped as it’s absolute garbage Maybe it’s not aged well or it gets better but I’m not surprised they didn’t carry it on!

I think it would have to be Doctor who for me, it hold a very dear place in my heart. I didn't have the best of starts but I could always rely on the show to escape from that. I would borrow the VHS's of the classic who from next door when things were bad. When it was airing on TV I could make it though the week knowing my Saturday night would be some place far away. So 100% it would have to be Doctor Who haha

Shout outs to buffy, star trek (DS9) and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Quite a few for me although it is hard to measure as shows may not keep the consistency of quality throughout so I'll say:

Taskmaster

Suits

Scrubs (There was no season 9!)

Just started watching suits recently and two seasons in binned it off.

So repetitive and frankly boring.

But that's my personal opinion if you love it that's cool.

However it's worth watching for Scottie alone
