What bedding do you have and who bought it?

Also, what kind of lighting do you have in your boudoir?

This is for Portsmouth university research.

I'll start... I'll be putting leopard/jungle print themed covers on when I make my bed. I don't buy anything "plain" that's just boring.

I have more sophisticated prints for when I have company! But always 4 pillows and a blanket.

I have one bedside lamp... It's a pineapple! With 3 degrees of brightness.

I have a bed side light that has different brightness settings, a tall lamp in the far corner. On my bed I currently have white fluffy sheets with 6 pillows, two massive cushions, 5 scatter cushions and a throw.

I like to feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud

Well fuck I'm screwed with my plain soft brushed pintuck bedding sets I just adore.

I have two crystal cut glass bedside lamps with cream bell shades that are controlled by Alexa.

Plus an LED strip that changes colour, powered by Alexa, at the top of my Laura Ashley wallpapered panels behind my bed.

I can set the lighting to red light district effortlessly.

Or a range of other colours if you're in that mood.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I have 12 spotlights I my ceiling, and a lamp next to the bed.

Bedding... right now it's a plain pale blue duvet cover and pillowcases, and 2 extra pillows with a different blue case on.

I also have a weird patterned duvet cover over the top as a throw while the actual throw is in the wash... 3 mini tennis balls, a dead looking stuffed rabbit, squeaky peas and a rope toy.

My bed is not a sanctuary...

Manchester (she/her)

Charles Sturt University reporting in.

My bedding is white. White, white, and white. (Actually no. I did buy some dove grey sheets by mistake once) Sheridan 300 thread count, I'm gradually replacing with 500. The duvet cover is self-striped and I've got some pillowcases that match that, some white ones, and some half ivory silk pillowcases.

Scatter pillows in green velvet and white with purple flowers.

A patchwork quilt - mix of brown, beige, black with purple flowers and foliage

A purple wool blanket when I'm really fucking cold

Ceiling light is a 5 bulb... fitting with warm LED bulbs. Got a lamp opposite the bed with the same, a smaller one on my bedside table, a sunrise alarm on the opposite side of the bed and... my light up makeup mirror probably doesn't count, but it exists.

Next Door

My bedroom is black and white.

Black paneled wallpaper on wall behind my bed and the rest ofvtye walls are white.

Black crushed faux velvet curtain and a blanket for my bed, white sheets. Black scatter cushions.

Black lamp on bedside table. Fairy lights on my bedframe and my picture shelf above my bed.

Candles, lots of them on my chests of drawers.

I think it's lovely

I get less shoulder pain at night if I'm hugging a pillow - one of my guest pillows (normally live in a box tucked away) is good for that - or it props me up when I'm not well and congested

I currently have bright tropical print on and tend to go for bright or graphic prints but do also have a grey stripe. Depends on my mood.

Feather duvet which is currently too warm but my summer duvet is too thin even with a blanket.

My bedside lamp is actually a repurposed antique ammunition shell brought up form the sea floor many years ago

Manchester (she/her)

I know one single lady whose bedding is like Skittles vomiting all over her bed. Rainbow mismatched. I don't know how she sleeps. It's so loud!

Central

I have a floor and bedside table lamp and have no bulb in the overhead light.

White cotton linen, as I find it kinder to my skin. No cushions, I prefer to use pillows only and quickly throw them off, in hotels

I also have an armchair, again without cushions, in there
