Disgusting club that Geordie lot.
Ball out of play. Fact.
Foul. Fact.
Offside. FACT.
Not forgetting the viscous attack from Bruno G.
And clearly there is NO Saudi / Ref / VAR link. Embarrassing club. |

Two clubs from the Middle East getting the VAR decisions constantly. Also the richest.
What a coincidence.

I had a bad feeling about today, and justifiably so. We battled well, but not good enough in the 2nd half.
When is this Raya experiment going to end? And as much as I like Eddie, he'll never be more than a squad player - we need another striker to compete/alternate with Jesus. |

Havertz a red card? What a ridiculous comment.
It was a stupid tackle. A silly, unnecessary tackle and rightfully a yellow card.

Wow.. so many things I could talk about.. anyway here was my view of the late game
Havertz…. Lucky man not to get sent off
Bruno… lucky lucky man not to get sent off ( I think if it’s not in the report he may get a retrospective violent conduct charge)
The mess with VAR… if we have goal line technology, then surely don’t you just extend that line? If you have 30 blooming cameras at every game then surely you have one down the lines!
Joelinton had 2 hands in the back of Gabriel
And how can you not see a point with a ball for the lines to see that Gordon is offside!
So what we have is … no technology… wrong decision…. No technology
So why are we even bothering with VAR then! |

I've honestly got sick to back teeth of VAR and the inconsistencies of their decisions. I think the technology is fine, but the the way it's implemented by refs makes it completely useless because it seems everyone has their own interpretation of the law and pick and choose when it's relevant.
Would love to look back at al the games and see where there was any pulling back and in the box and how many were given compared to the Manchester derby last week. |

Agree! Havertz was stupid, and lucky. Bruno G more so!
I'm baffled by the goal. It's not sour grapes - we'll get our share of decisions - but VAR is doing its best to argue itself out of existence this season. The Liverpool one particularly sticks too.
If you can't improve the game and we're basically saying they can't see more than the on-field ref (there's no excuse not to have the right camera angles), it feels kind of pointless (and that's before Joe's inconsistency point, which is maddening)! And I was an advocate for it! |

Up tomorrow and hoping to keep the run going.
As for VAR it has been shockingly worse than normal this season, just feels pointless. Might as well go back to old fashioned refereeing, as it really isn’t sorting out the problems it was bought in for, just creating more and the inconsistency on decisions. |

To be honest exactly the same in rugby. Just spoils the game and is still down to someone's judgement. Just let the refs ref and get in with it. |

The hate on Man U is because their support is made up of plastics. Same with Liverpool. Followed by people from 100s or thousands of miles away with no connection whatsoever to the team or the area that these two clubs are from, apart from the fact they are successful, or have been successful.
Support and get behind your local team

So is it also unfair to mock EtH now despite winning a trophy and finishing third in his first season and being hamstrung by the owners and having our entire starting backline out for the first part of the season? But it's fine, don't let logic get in the way of "good banter" |

It will be interesting to see. By rights the punishment should be much harsher but I wonder if the PL have the guts to do it? TBF I'm suprised they didn't bottle this so fair play to them. However lets hope it's not one rule for the very rich and another for the rest. |

Well it obviously is because earlier this year man city were being investigated for a ridiculous amount of financial breaches and didn't Pep himself say he'd walk if found to be true.
Wasn't it something like 33 irregularities?
But it's been dead silence since, suddenly Everton are the ones getting deducted points.
I don't trust football hierarchy one bit, FIFA, the FA all crooked.
Man city just happen to have very deep pockets allowing them to use a team of expensive lawyers.

"If the question is “if Everton get a 10 point deduction for being found guilty of 1 case of breaching FFP… what will Chelsea and Man City get?
Is the answer….. better lawyers?
It will be interesting to see. By rights the punishment should be much harsher but I wonder if the PL have the guts to do it? TBF I'm suprised they didn't bottle this so fair play to them. However lets hope it's not one rule for the very rich and another for the rest.

In the Man City case they are charged with 115 cases of potentially breaching FFP regulations….. |

How much of the Everton punishment is a shot across the bows of the much muted govt football regulator by the FA?
See we can keep our own house in order look how we dealt with Everton! |

I can answer the question as to why Everton’s punishment has come first… the premier league are going to say it’s easier and quicker to investigate 1 case of breaking FFP rules than it is 115!
Any way I expect city and Chelsea will probably found guilty in 5 years time… City’s “treble” will be vacated.. and the league titles retrospectively given to Arsenal and Liverpool
And we will all be “happy” .. that happy was sarcastic and I look forward to the retrospective trophy presentation and parade
If it was me… since they will never relegate the shit out of either… and the maximum points deduction you can give is 15 points.. I say make it interesting
Since they were both doing it over a 5 year period…. Let the both start on -15 for 5 years! If they are both good enough to win a title or get to champions league from there then fair play to them! |

Sounds reasonable. What isn't reasonable is the delay in dealing with the cheating fuckers. It's been years now. Get on with it. |

Bigger pockets than Everton so better quality and more lawyers, drag it out and out and out to try to wear down and make it very costly for those investigating..?

My lot the Cockney Reds are playing tomorrow against Everton which will be tricky with everything that has gone on with Everton. Our record is not the best there but I feel if we are going to mount a challenge to get in the top 4 it has to start tomorrow. No logic just a gut feeling we are going to win 2-1 |

Very, very good win today. We still absorb too pressure for my liking rather than controlling the game, but did really well to kill the game off. We're not in the crisis everyone thinks we're in but a lot of improvement still needed. Mainoo looked strong and composed and would love to see him bring control to our midfield over the next few years. Great to see Shaw back too who's easily one of the best LBs in the league |

They will do well to manage that. If they lose in Istanbul this week, they have Bayern in their final game and could finish bottom of their group.
Could do without another English team in the Europa, as it decreases the chances of my lot getting a decent trip if we make the quarter finals. |

Credit to United, you do a decent job of ticking these games off and finding a way to win. However you're inability to exert any real level of control and dominance over bottom half teams is noticable.
Nothing about your current run suggests you're anywhere near being a top team. Every time you play someone good you have resort back to counter attack football that's defined United for about a decade. |

To be fair, for as long as I can remember watching football, we've been a counter attacking team even since the SAF days. The difference is we used to apply pressure to get the first goal and then pick teams off when then they tried to press. Now though it just seems like the first and only tactic |

You will see it later.. it a cross that clearly hits the chest first , then the elbow … I don’t know if I am more annoyed that VAR referred it to the ref, or that the ref then gave it…
Either way… decision was absolutely bottled, someone at UEFA is going to get a rocket! |
