"Fab returner and I like anything on toast. Marmite and cheese at the moment but I am partial to a little lime marmalade
What about you OP?"
Welcome back to the Hotel California! I remember you from your last profile I think
Savoury has to be scrambled or poached eggs. Otherwise strawberry jam

"Is there a time limit for returners? We came back earlier in the year, and only tentatively until recently.
Toast is always marmite, undiluted by butter or marg. What’s your fancy OP? "
Welcome back we're approaching our first year fabbiversary. I'm not imposing a time limit as it's not really limited to anyone anyway- this is a Cliquebuster300®©™ thread.
Proper butter and strawberry jam for me!

I am a returner
This question is like choosing my favourite dog…
Poached eggs on toast for savoury..
Just butter on any day and at any time..
beans and cheese on toast for a comfort tea.
They’re maybe more…. |

Welcome back! Those are some strong choices It's a deceptively tricky question - toast goes with so many things. You'd think it wouldn't be controversial but I have a friend who is very particular about things being 'with' toast not 'on' toast.

I love strawberry jam too, but only on toast round two. The sweetness cuts through the marmite savoury. Congrats on your first anniversary? Are you going to celebrate with a bang? |

Does that count?
Oh - and butter. Layers of it. "
It counts if you want it to
There's not many food things that aren't improved by layers of butter!

I love a good cheese and ham toastie with some sweet chilli jam in"
Welcome back! I can imagine that was a very frustrating time to join! How are you finding it this time round?
Do you use a breville for your toasties? I like a flat pan and a spatula to squish it with for perfect goldenness.

Welcome to fab and the forums. I would say the forums isn't necessarily the best place to find 'something' but it is a great place to waste some time and have a laugh. That said, it does work for some people so best of luck!
Anyway, toast topping please?

I feel like a newbie if that counts especially after my wee break.
Favourite thing on toast is difficult
Melted cheese is always a winner! Marmalade if it's breakfast. Poached eggs if someone else makes them as I'm useless at them |

How do you define newbie, I've been on the site a few years in various guises but as yet to get a meet or a social from it. Been to a club a few times and enjoyed myself but again getting entry to some clubs as a single fella can be difficult (I get why) just doesn't help.
Still I find the forums entertaining (mostly) occasionally contribute and the site allows me to express my exhibitionist side legally - so all is not lost |

B would approve of the spicy beans, he often puts sriracha on his.
Blackcurrant jam is so underrated!

As with a few choices, I think these are ones that I'd like 'with' toast rather than 'on' toast. There may be a friend reading this and laughing with smug superiority right now.

Not a newbie but dont always feel brave enough to post.
So many things great on toast, ive become rather hungry while reading this thread!
Savory has to be loads of melted cheese, maybe with tomatoes or a little marmite too.
Sweet atm for me is peanut butter and chocolate spread, like a melted peanut butter cup, so delicious

Left Fab 2020 and returned this year but only became active a few months ago.
On toast, I'd have egg, beans and sausages.
Could also do marmalade jam.
