I know it’s a bit mainstream and also feels like I’ve sold out but I do love a visit to Waterstones.
I can’t help it.
So much variety and intrigue I can lose hours thumbing the shelves.
I’m really sorry. |

I quite like the fact that it’s a bit unorganised, it means I can spend longer in there looking through all the stuff to find bargains!
Closely followed by B&M. Who doesn’t like going in for cleaning products and coming out £50 lighter |

Think you'll find they infiltrated some time ago and have been slowly taking over.

I wish I liked TK Maxx, so many people get the most beautiful bargains from there. But it makes me anxious. I genuinely get overwhelmed.

Yes. I do adore my DH but I've seen this site on his phone called fabswingers. AIBU to be a bit suspicious? What should I do?

YANBU but OTOH is it possible YABOS. Are you a SAHM taking care of DC? Anyway get a full STI test immediately, photocopy all documents and leave him. Anyone who opens disgusting website like that doesn't deserve you or your DC. |

It can be a bit overwhelming when it’s busy. You could always use their website to have a nose if going in store is too much for you. |

Liberty's I can't go to London and not visit. It's a beautiful building to look at as you approach and then walk in past the beautiful flowers. Inside the building is ridiculously stunning. And I can wonder around for ages, but typically I'll spend the most time in the haberdashery buying buttons and new materials for projects |

I don't think I have one, as myretail experiences aren't in a pleasurable category. Service standards and staff levels have deteriorated. I've noticed return exchange periods have been modified downwards at some too |

Oh Penhaligon's is beautiful isn't it? I love Halfeti. Love the little silk scarf they give you if you're wanting a demo and they think you might come back. I wish their candles weren't so expensive though. |

Waterstones Piccadilly is genuinely one of my favourite places in London. Beautiful building and a great bar too. Definitely check it out when you're next in London!

Pretentiously overpriced though.
We had a stroll around last year and the only thing we could probably afford was a scarf. |

The liberty branded things I agree. Except the fabric which is comparable in price to the other ones I get for crafting or sewing.

My local retail park has a shop called Magazine Heaven.
Two hours browsing then across the car park to Bills for lunch then back to the mags for another hour or so of browsing.
A great way to spend a rainy day, Spend being the key word. |

The Bookseller, in Falmouth, Cornwall. Tiny, independent, passionate staff. Or it was some 26 years ago when I was a student there (the shop is definitely still there, the staff has changed). I don’t get back there very often, but when I do the memories are strong x |

To be honest I don’t have a favourite but I love a farm shop - there is one near St Andrews called Balgove Larder which is just delicious.
There’s a little vintage retro store called Pink Poodle in Glasgow’s west end I adore and also Mr Bens, an eclectic mix of vintage and pre loved goodies!
I also love a good book store - Topping and company in St Andrews is a dream to mooch around xx |

There's a chain of shops in the North East called Boyes. The kind that has a fabric section with ladies in aprons cutting a metre for you. They have women's clothes that haven't been seen since the 70s but the same prices but best of all is the kitchen section where there are always five different types of every thing you might want. And cheap as chips. I've been known to squeal at a Boyes find.
I'm saving up to visit the Boyes museum in Bridlington. |

Shopping especially for clothes, has become such a different experience for me over the last year. Previously it had degraded to buying the same few items from online stores to replace the self imposed male 'uniform' as items wore out. Now I have to be careful as I risk becoming a shopoholic, happily losing hours browsing. As far as where I actually buy stuff from my favourite physical stores currently seem to be M&S and Tu. |

Back when I was cabin crew one of the most amazing shops I ever visited was a department store called Tokyu Hands in Shinjuku, Tokyo. An entire floor dedicated to fancy dress and cosplay. The most incredible kitchen department - bought our Global knives there. And the stationery... I was in heaven

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please) |
I've never really got over Woolworths...
But if I had to choose, an old fashioned bookshop, or as mentioned above, a charity shop where you never know what you'll find.
Big retail shops aren't my thing. |

It was the zalando until yesterday. I found some jeans that actually fit, went to order some more, nope, every single size was suddenly out of stock or they had hiked the price on a slightly different colour by £40. I bought a t-shit too - again the day after sizes were reduced and the price was up £10.

Online it’s Signal Sounds (I’d love to visit their physical shop), Thonk and Etsy.
Or eBay. Even Amazon has gone to shit.
Oh. Valvona and Crolla in Edinburgh.

No, Davie!!
Why not, it is a shop after all?
It's a cafe!
But it’s often in a shop. "
Sally forth it's called a coffeeshop!
Hotsossie, does that make it a double shop?

Go Outdoors
If edging was a shop it would be Go Outdoors.
Look at the beautiful down jacket, it's £180 down from £400
Oh crampons, if I had those I'd definitely do more mountaineering.
These £300 boots are all that stand between me and a life spent completing the wainwright's.
This canvas teepee is beautiful, if we had this, we'd camp every weekend in the summer.
