Do you own scales and do it daily or is it once every few years at the doctors?
Do the numbers bother you?
We don't own scales so I only weigh myself when I go to my parents house. Obviously I always try to have a good shit prior to getting on them. But even so, the numbers going up bother me slightly. I think I'd go mad if I weighed myself more often.
How about you? |

I don't at all and although I do it at the Dr's, I opt to know look or be told what the number is. ED that has thankfully been in remission for about 7 years, I don't wish to relapse. Hate how body looks so knowing what I actually weigh would probably bring it back very quickly

Weekly using a set of those scales that monitor a range of body metrics. Whilst I doubt that they are the most accurate readings, they are however consistent relative to each other so it’s a good starting point |

I use to as I was stuck at a certain number and wanted to lose 10kg. Last time I weighed myself I'd lost 5, if I don't weigh myself again in my head I'll always be that weight and I'm ok with that. |

I’ve been on a fitness/trying to lose weight thing since April. I weighed myself every week but it does my head in if I don’t lose or I stay the same, even though I’ve gone down 2 sizes. So I took the scales to my mum and dads and I’m only allow to weigh once a month now |

Every week. After two years of illness and cancer scares, losing weight for no reason is a bit of worry. So I monitor carefully, and if it starts to go down, I eat all the snacks in the hope it goes back up again. |

Pmsl at the 'have a good shit' piece. Clearly the male half.
Weigh weekly ish and would love to be under a 100kg but bobble about above it. I blame the muscle being heavier than fat waffle personally. It's all about the clothes fitting really. |

I've been actively trying to lose weight/get healthier since July, 12kg down so far and feeling better for it!
Being 39 with bones and internal organs that identify as those of a 70 year old i thought I'd better get ahead of the curve

I weigh myself everyday but just out of habit. The scales are in the kitchen - get up, put the kettle on, have a pee, weigh myself, make cuppa and back to bed.
Scales log to my health app on the phone and then I occasionally look at the rolling monthly average. My weight is pretty consistent and I can control it very simply by the amount I change my diet. At the moment I am trying to put more muscle on so I am looking to add some weight - not as easy as it sounds when my calorie intake is already fairly high due to exercise. |

Used to be obsessive re: weighing myself but only weigh weekly now, if that. Currently 56kg and wanting to gain a few kilos through sensible eating/slight-bulking exercises |

Number doesn’t bother me too much but is a helpful indicator of my current calorie intake and exercise volume. I train and compete in a sport with weight categories so I have to keep an eye out |

"I weigh myself each week (naked before breafast!)
Bonfire night I was 85kg. Now I am 66kg. I'm delighted. "
Are your scales also time machines?
I never way myself. Clothes, belt and mirror are my gauge. |

Oh I can assure you I'm all woman
This was always the advice from my mother. Not feeling well? Have a good shit. I can't even describe the filth my mum and her three sisters talk when they all get together |

I weigh myself most days at the same time and make a note of it. This is mostly driven by the fact I compete in sport in a weight category, so it is helpful not to be too far over.
The mindset around this is important.
The numbers are just data, they're neither good or bad on their own.
The more data there is the less individual numbers matter.

Last time was about 3 years ago, I was in hospital,
I don't gain or lose weight easily.
Without weighing I could say within a couple of kgs what weight I am. |

Every Tuesday at 6.30pm.
We joined Slimming World in August and we both go and weigh there, we don't have scales at home as it's easy to become a bit obsessed.
Trying very hard to lose weight at the moment, with some success too; 73lbs down between us |

I bought some of those smart scales that's meant to calculate weight, body fat percentage, muscle percentage etc. Not sure how accurate it is but I've only used them a handful of times because I mostly just look in the mirror and guage what I need to do. I can't remember the last time I weighed myself though |

I used to weight myself daily, sometimes twice or 3 times a day.
My husband then hid the scales as I used to get so down and de-motivated when I was working out 5 times a week and dieting, but not loosing any weight.
I now judge my weight by how my clothes feel. |

In the past when I’ve been trying to lose weight I’ve hit the scales a couple of times a day. It’s such an unhealthy obsession. Now I gauge by how I feel rather than how I look or how much I weigh. And I stopped counting calories - another unhealthy, damaging obsession.

Yeah, I've got those. Not sure if they're completely accurate but I figure it doesn't matter if they're consistently inaccurate as I'll still be able to track my own data (supported by what I can see!).
I'm currently weighing myself about once a week. Not bothered by my weight as such, but am trying to bring the body fat down a little so concentrating on that number (and the weight is automatically dropping a little too). |
