the land of tall tales and yarn |
Not in a good way.
I have broken my car, my phone and whilst not broken seriously damaged my shoulder.
Now I should be sad but it is not my how I roll, so I"m twirling hard and I have one strong arm to throw glitter with. As Mama Knitter would say, at least you have a phone, a car and a shoulder, not everyone does.
So come on fabbers what are you happy or grateful about today?

Grateful for the massive bag of embroidery thread I found in the charity shop last week…already on bobbins 
I haven’t done an embroidery for a while as my health has got in the way but I was able to start a new one tonight |

That I’m not homeless. It must be very grim out there this time of year (not that being homeless in the summer is a picnic) and it’s only getting colder and wetter.
If you can’t give a homeless person a hot drink or something to eat, at least give them a smile so they know they’re not invisible. |

I herniated a disk. After 5 months of physio I can now lift my foot about an inch. I had to stay sober over my birthday and last month my boiler went caput and cost nearly 3k
On the upside last month I adopted a maine coon kitten. |

I hope things get better for you. That is what I always do, think that there are always people worse off and grateful for what is good rather than always worry for what isn't. It is for sure a much healtier attitude to have. Today has been a nice bright sunny day, had coffee and cake with friends not seen for a while and that was very nice. Friends and family. Going through a tough one personally at the moment but these last two weeks I’ve had some amazing support from a number of people on here and personally. Would have been a real struggle without that support and the check ins

I'm laying on this awesome huge sofa I'm still paying off, in front of a large backlit TV, the living room looks awesome, and the TV is displaying a screensaver that has some strange ambient music set against various images of the earth that are being downloaded from the internet.
Everything looks and feels sound, relaxed and amazing. If I think about it deeper, there's a culmination of hundreds of thousands of brilliant minds and hard workers who've put their efforts in creating just small parts of the whole picture.
I can look at a small part, say the wall, painted in white and realise that yes, even the paint had materials scientists involved, had chemists, had pigments experts, designers, advertising specialists, financial experts, retailers, logistics, skilled and unskilled labour JUST to exist.
And I'm laying here... And it all exists around me. And it's awesome. The human race has it's flaws, but it's also ridiculously awesome. |
