Have a party set up for next Friday with a few people. Been setting it up for the last 2 weeks.
Today my daughter informs me that she is moving house next week and she needs me to drive the truck.
ARGHHHH She lives down south so I am away now and have to cancel my party.
Anyone else found that family interfere with your playing lol

A few years ago I had a weekend party organised and my 8 month pregnant daughter turned up at lunch time saying that she was nervous she was going into early labour and wanted to be with me while her boyfriend was away just in case!
Had to ring everyone to cancel and explain - felt really terrible and one or two were less than understanding. Flaming girl eventually gave birth 11 days later than her due date!! |

All the time. However I only have one daughter therefore I am always happy to help her out. I might grit my teeth when I have to cancel plans, but I do it. |

"Always happy to put the rest of my life first, family, friends, work...
Much more important to me"
With you 100%...however... ...I'd arranged a meet with my favourite playmate. As a surprise I had dressed up, including laced up boots.
I'd also some new toys set out on a cushion in the middle of the bed and the bed restraints visible. In the bathroom on top of the linen basket was set out guest towels, toothbrush and male shower gel.
I tottered downstairs, got the coffee things ready and waited for the call to say he was at London Bridge.
The call came but he sounded amused. He said not being funny, but I think your daughter is sat opposite me. There is no mistaking my youngest if you know me: she's the spitting image, albeit 30 years younger and 10 stone lighter.
I said no, not her, she's in college in Angel and she'd phone to say she's on her way back as she left me in bed and knows I'd be startled if she came back. He laughed and said I'm sure it's her. If she gets off at your stop I'll wait at the station and call you.
He called and said she's got off. It takes me 15 minutes to walk from the station, she does it in 10! Well...I had undo the boots, get out of the body stocking I had on, hang up the leather coat, put coffee stuff away, declutter bathroom, pack away toys, hide restraints, put pjs back on, get into bed...all in 10 minutes.
Just got into bed when I heard "hi mum!"
Apparently her tutor was sick so she came home! My friend phoned and I confirmed it was her. Weeks of planning ruined!
Four years on we still laugh at that, but shudder to think what would have happened if he hadn't clocked she was my daughter or she'd been on the next train!
We don't meet often because my children and their partners are always home when I've a meet planned, but we're six years in and when we do meet we make up for lost time. |

You can always have another party. Your time with your daughter can never be lived again. No brainer really, but you knew that already and just wanted to rant. |

"My daughter is the most important thing to me far more important than any meet or party "
Agree with that which is why we had to put a meet off last night .
They have gone quiet , not a good sign . |
