What's the last thing that made you smile?
Today I found out I get to spend a weekend soon with two of my favourite Fab people. I've also had a PSL. So, what's bringing you happiness? |

The knowledge that I have a whole week at home with Mini Wick, so lots of crafting, going to the woods to build shelters, and bug hunting. She’s got a thing for mini beasts. We may also bake a few cakes. |

"I can't say! But I also can, but I don't want to.
It is something somebody said to me! Somebody on here! So they likely know. "

Knowing how my kids never had this with their dad (as he's a fucking dick) makes me but also that some guys are decent. |

The kids choosing to go into town together - pretty cool for a 15 and 11 year old. The daft WhatsApps that they sent while having ice-cream and on the train. Also that it gave me and B the house to ourselves this afternoon

I love those moments. My daughter went out on a date yesterday, first time for two years. Huge thing for her - she was so happy. She was bouncing when I picked her up. Livid that Five nights at Freddie's had not stayed true the lore though.
I couldn't stop smiling if I'd tried. |

Knowing that your kids didn’t have that experience makes me too. I fuckin’ love school holidays, never dread them. It’s hard to entertain on the cheap these days but I try my best to do so, and make it educational too.

One of our best family memories is taking a frying pan on a walk so that the kids could pan for gold in a nearby stream! The looks we got made it even funnier.

Yes of course I will. They’re still in cold storage until tomorrow/monday. Got my new carving kit ready. It’s all very exciting. |

The memory of a pistachio souffle and the prospects of some particularly excellent red wine. Oh, and having got two tubs ready for kids that call on Halloween - one in the shape of a glowing skull, with a fake dismembered hand poking out of a mountain of Haribo and the other, to really terrify them, and which they'll get offered first: a bowl of fresh fruit.

Your post just made me smile - but really not sure about PSLs, they sound disgusting!
OK, my hound needs feeding, he's an arse and he has just bopped me, so that made me smile (though he split my lip yesterday - so a lopsided smile). |

I really love that my wife used to do all kinds of silly even impulsive things with them. Spontaneous snow angels. I've got a video clip from when they were really little. Still learning to talk. I'm talking to my youngest and I ask what she wants to do and she says 'feed da ducks.' We still have the eye contact moment sometimes now and she says feed da ducks.
It doesn't have to be complicated the simplest things can be a joy forever. Being self-indulgent sorry folks. |

Most of my smile came from sitting round the table at my mums and playing board games with the family. All the kids put the technology down, and a few of the adults ended up in tears of laughter. Everytime we go now I take a new board game, but family fortunes always gets the most laughs. |
