Hello fellow forum-ers,

Has anyone been pleasantly surprised when someone from Fab turned out to be nothing like they originally expected?

Some people have wonderful photos and blurbs on their sleeve notes & back covers.

I think that's everyone.

Either their photos are from when they were in their 20s or their adoptive personas are nothing like them irl

.

Not really, by the time I meet someone I'll generally have a good idea of what they'll be like.

I have been surprised by the chemistry though. I tend to approach it as two friends meeting for a drink or whatever and then when it's there I think "oh gosh. Wasn't expecting this at all".

Nope. I wouldn't be meeting them in the first place if the conversation wasn't pleasant and/or surprising.

I never judge the cover of a book by the way it looks.
