Just received a penalty notice for overstaying at a service station car park in August.
Even though I was staying at the Travelodge where I was paked and had put my car registration onto their system. Has this ever happened to anyone else..? |

I've had similar
I was working at a store for a supplier and stayed more than two hours and was issued a fine
The store couldn't help in getting the ticket annuled but the manager said I could use his name as a witness, so I had to contact the company that issued the fine and give them proof I was a contractor working on site
I suggest you contact the company that issued the fine and offer proof (the invoice/booking confirmation) you were a hotel guest |

"If no joy get in touch with POPLA.Thats the ombudsman that takes on these private parking companies"
I have already emailed the appeal along with my hotel booking invoice.
Its just seems a total screw up in the hotel parking registration system. The thing is, if anyone was playing away from home and their partner opens the parking penalty letter. It could cause a lot of questions. |
