What’s the best life lesson you learned

"That you can't control how others behave but you can always control how you react to it."
Love this one, so very true.
Mine…. That people will do what they think will work out best for them. That’s all anyone ever does. |

Never criticise where someone else comes from or lives. You may believe you are better than them or even richer, but you can't polish a turd and that's a fact! |

Funnily enough one of the best life lessons I learned was through school - that apart from teaching the basics of English comprehension and maths, school education is pretty much worthless - knowledge comes from actually living and experiencing - |

That “standing up to bullies” is bullshit. A lad in my class did just that. He ended up in hospital and the lads concerned got expelled. One of them is now a millionaire businessman.
Not sure what the moral of the story is. |

No you can't polish a turd but you can role it in glitter. But it's still a turd at the Hart. |

No amount of glitter can hide a turd, it always flakes off in the end! |

"Never compliment someone on their mustache. She might take offense.
Like asking when the baby is due.
Guy in work got a warning for that. " Did it say it maliciously or genuine mistake? Not long after having my son (okay 2yrs after!) I was asked the same, genuine mistake on on their part. They were mortified, I was laughing |

He was being genuine. I thought she was pregnant too. She took it really bad even though he apologised straight away. |

This life REALLY isn't a rehearsal. You have one chance (or conscious chance if you believe in reincarnation) don't waste it being unhappy or unsatisfied. Do what you have to do and as long as you don't intentionally hurt someone, just do it, what do you have to lose (in many cases) nothing, what can you gain...everything. |
