Normally if you’re not paying for a service, you’re the product.

I’m happy to support the service, it must take a lot of work to keep it going and bandwidth isn’t cheap.

Well it pays for the thing, this isn't a government initiative! I actually believed them when they said this place is priced to run, ie is doesn't make a bit profit.

Also I personally think you might look more serious to some people - and being serious about actually meeting is what most people here worry about I think. But I don't think being silver will make all that much difference on that. Actually paying to be here might though, to some.

I haven't yet because I'm still deciding whether or not to stay for the long-term. If I do, then it'll be to support the site because it's nice that we have enough free features here already
