How scary is the internet?
For some strange reason a ‘someone you may know’ came up on my Facebook. I knew the name so clicked on it then clicked on their spouse. It transpires that he died 12 months ago from a sudden heart attack! It’s really very sad as they were the first couple we met up with and over a fair few months got to know them really well. We had our first full swap with them too. We stayed in touch even after they left Fab but did wonder why we hadn’t heard from them in a while. Absolutely lovely couple. RIP Chris, thank you for making us feel good.

I had a conversation 2 weeks ago with someone about a pub in a nearby town that is popular with hen and stag parties.
I was saying how the owner was an old neighbour and that he had built the business from nothing and despite having difficult times as a teenager he had surprised everyone with his business acumen.
I then discovered at the weekend that he had actually died a year ago leaving a young family behind. He was only in his 40s and I had heard nothing until I read a piece in his memory one year on. |
