How long does it last for you?

That's right, I'm talking about a bottle of Worcester sauce.

We've lived here 13 years now, and bottle number 4 is about to finish. So I guess one lasts us about 3 years.

Plus does brand bother you? It doesn't for me. We're using a Lidl own bottle at present.

Asking the important questions here

Probably around 6 months, I am not too fussy,I will try most brands. I also like Henderson's relish slightly different flavour but very similar

We have a bottle at the back of our cupboard that’s been there for about 2 years. I needed a splash of it for a recipe once

A couple of vigorous shakes and it spills everywhere.

Oh.

This is not a euphamism is it?

Are use a few drops to make that prawn cocktail sauce from scratch, maybe once every five years, so a bottle should last a good hundred years

I think with a three year lifespan, you should splash out next time and go for Lea and Perrin's

Oh I tried the Tesco own brand and it lacked flavour so I'm back to the branded one. They last about 4 months in our house, but I use it in Sheppard's pie etc.

"I think with a three year lifespan, you should splash out next time and go for Lea and Perrin's "

Not only is that effort of going to a different supermarket, but that would work out as an extra 15p per year!

I see your dilemma. You will need a second job!

I get through a bottle every 4-6 months .. i add it to so many things.. for example, today at 7am the wrist action was coaxing 6 good spurts of the stuff into the slow cooker along with the beef and veggies for a stew

I bought some a month ago, never opened.

I prefer to cook with balsamic vinegar I think.

Only use it on my cheese on toast. I think my bottle is older then most of my wine.

I've never liked it on cheese on toast. I think it ruins it. Is that going to be controversial?

I'm sure your wrist action was appreciated

It’s only me using it, but I will go through a small bottle in 2-3 months. I was strictly a L&P guy but having been forced to try others, don’t see much difference.

Sits patiently in the corner and waits for the debate...and while we are at it...

On a scone...do you put the jam on then the cream or the other way round?

Is a jaffa cake a cake or a biscuit?

Be careful

Next she'll be popping round for some sugar, then some milk, then before you know it she'll be fluttering those eye lashes amd you'll be making her tea and sharing your hob nobs!

Ever since we started the "Bloody Mary Diet" we get through a bottle every 2 weeks...and never felt healthier, all that tomato juice and celery (and vodka obviously)

The lid on my bottle says Oct 21, and that is only 1/2 full, so that might suggest 4 years.

Now if we look at fish sauce (num blah), sweet chilli sauce, plum sauce, oyster sauce...then we are talking a few bottles a year (actually the chilli is one a month).

I wonder what archaeologists will think in the future when they dig up all these unused bottles?

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

When I used to actually cook more than once a week a bottle would last about a year.

I have had the same bottle since 2018 now though.
