Folks I’m in negations about a new job. It’s high risk role with a high turn over of staff. The package is exceptional I feel for that reason.
Has anyone any advice? |

If you still in employment then stabilty if present then not worth the risk for possible short term reward.
If unhappy or unemployed then take the risk as sounds like your skill set but you good postion to get employment if it goes pear shape .

If you are unhappy in a job and it impacts the rest of your life outside of work then the extra money may not be sufficient compensation. We spend so much of our lives working . |

You say it’s a high risk job with a high turnover of staff.Whilst I am sure you have all the qualities and attributes to be a success at it otherwise you wouldn’t be in negotiations what if in the worse case scenario it doesn’t go to plan how easy would it be to for you to find suitable employment again.Best of luck with whatever you decide. |

I think I’d obtain new employment relatively quickly. |

I’d be doing myself why there’s such a high turnover of staff. In my experience that’s never a good thing and possibly gives you an idea of what the company are like to work for.
Money is great but it isn’t everything. |

I’m investing that at the minute. It’s not totally the company but partly down to the client
They are working under. |

Push them for more, you’re taking on a challenging role they obviously need you.
Do a 30-day and a 90-day plan to deal with the risks quickly and put in changes you need fast, the longer you are in a company the harder it becomes to change things so change as much as you can immediately |

I’d suggest looking at it dispassionately. Why would you succeed where countless others have failed? It’s about risk versus reward but ask yourself if the money is worth the inevitable shit that this job will bring? |

If you are able to survive the likely outcome of being sacked without much pain (financially and emotionally) and you think you can succeed where everyone else has failed then go for it. If you can’t then don’t. |

I wouldn’t see it as risk vs reward, money is not a reward. But definitely ask how you will suceed.
The money is never worth it. Even with a very high paid job you’re gonna lose half in tax and salary sacrifice. Then upgrade everything in your life so will be no better off!
Should be about the challenge, impact you can have and the growth or maybe excitement, are they gonna fly over all around the world first class? I’ve taken jobs for that before

It’s the emotional side I would find difficult. Bruised ego and all that |

"Make sure you negotiate and agree exit terms as part of the overall package that the risk warrants.
In what way agree exit terms? "
Notice period, redundancy terms, golden goodbye, references, those kind of things. High value contracts often allow you to negotiate those in advance if things don't work out. |
