Just wondered if anyone has any wise words to guide us in life - A couple to start with

1. Don't judge someone unless you have walked a mile in their shoes. You will then be a mile away from them and have their shoes so they won't catch you!

2. It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket

Yield to temptation: it may not pass your way again

Some days you’re the bug; some days you’re the windscreen

Always remember you are unique. Just like everyone else

Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.

I’ve always been a big fan of beauty. Sure, you can’t judge a book by its cover but who wants to have sex with a book?

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Forget this and attaining Enlightenment

will be the least of your problems.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

He who laughs last... Is only laughing because he doesn't want to be thought of as stupid.

If you can keep your head, when all about you are losing theirs ... You'll be taller than them all!

Zen is like a finger pointing at the Moon; once you've seen the Moon, there is no longer any need for the finger. Unless you have to scratch yourself or something.

If today weer your last day, would you do what you are be doing? Or would you love more, give more, forgive more?

(Not sure who said that but I have always liked it)

Liskeard

the one on my wall currently says.

live every moment

love beyond words

laugh everyday

my fave zen story is

Two monks were once traveling together down a muddy road.

A heavy rain was falling. Coming around the bend,

they met a lovely girl in a silk kimono and sash,

unable to cross the intersection.

"Come on, girl," said the first monk. Lifting her

in his arms, he carried her over the mud.

The second monk did not speak again until that night

when they reached a lodging temple. Then he no longer

could restrain himself. "We monks don't go near females,"

he said. "It is dangerous. Why did you do that?"

"I left the girl there," the first monk said.

"Are you still carrying her?"

That has sooo much depth - brilliant.

We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over.

Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing, that we see too late the one that is open

If you dig a pit for others to fall into, you could fall into it yourself.

The things you own end up owning you.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and around and around and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud. And it's fun - for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question; is this real? Or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, and they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because... this is just a ride."
