Marriage of convenience

Would you ever consider marrying for convenience/lifestyle choices?
Chatting to a lady friend, we discussed being 2 Hot Wives. I reckon that would be a massive novelty.
There must be many advantages no? A more understanding partner, similar boundaries, never a need to worry about child care, sharing lingerie, financial bonuses.
What say you Fabbers? |

"Best offer I've had all evening. Question now is, where and when do we do this?
Definitely not to a man. Did you miss the 2 hot WIVES?"
Fine, what if I identify as a wife? |

I'll happily put you in a dress and have you wash up for me.
You can do the cooking and cleaning too if you like. |

Yes, I would. If I was alone, getting on in years and the other person and I got along, we had clear and contractually enforced guidelines and boundaries I'd consider it.
I think we're fed such a diet of romantic love from an early age that most of us go into long term relationships with rose coloured glasses. If we were used to discussing long term goals, what's really important to us and sexual preferences before we got in too deep there'd be way fewer failed relationships in my opinion. Instead we drift all misty eyed into things imagining that love will conquer all. |

It's a fair comment. I blame being brought up on soul and Motown.
Love has probably been the singular greatest cause of pain in my life - but I have masochist tendencies - so it works for me.
Although I had a biologist gf years ago. Who adamantly claimed loved was just a biochemical response that research demonstrated lasted a maximum of 3 years. The evolutionary function of which was to keep men supporting partners through pregnancy and childbirth. And then she contacted me out of the blue 7 years later to tell me she still loved me. |

Ha! I think people confuse that first flush of romantic 'love' with the deep and abiding love that can grow from that over time. Your biologist ex probably realised that ...too late. |

I would to 100%. I’ve considered in the past as well. But I think I would need my heart broken a few more times and then just decide that is best

Time , place , context....
I've had most of the experiences I need.
A cushy life would be fine by me.
Can't see anyone marrying me for convenience though .....
Unless he's conveniently looking for a free loader with no benefits. Maybe he'll want me for my smile.
Oh look .......... A porcine aviator .... nice. |

I got very lucky. I found a woman who complemented my interests and wants at a young age, who also made me want to be a better person. Then I got really lucky and she became my best mate.
After living the life I have with her and knowing a few couples who have marriages of convenience, I would recommend taking a chance on old-fashioned love.
Relationships are hard. Whether it is based on love, convenience, or traditional arranged marriages.
They all need work, communication, compromise and compassion. |

Isn't that a bit extreme to be hot wives? Would you really be proper wives if it's only a marriage of convenience? It sounds a bit contrived to me.
You can get all the benefits you list without being married. A marriage of convenience doesn't necessarily mean that a spouse signs up to giving the assistance you mention.
Nevertheless, two married women who are hot wives does sound very appealing. How does one get in consideration by the happy couple? |

I've re read this now. Do you mean I have to have a WIFE ? Two women. Me and another one ? Living together ? Sharing the Bills and the Cleaning and Shopping, Kids and Cooking ?

It's the heartbreak I know will come. |

Well, I think that sounds more appealing than marrying a man. Of course, 2 men could do the same. |

I’ve pretty much got this. We didn’t marry for that reason though . I’m still married after 32 years. We have a fantastic “friends” relationship. Share everything (not sexual) and always will. He doesn’t wear my lingerie though (that I know of!) |
