I’m getting an awful lot of private messages from random lurkers about things posted on the forums. You know the ones. The messages you want to reply to with “Keep it on the bloody forum, please” but you know you’re better off just ignoring and deleting for a quiet life.
Is it a full moon? Something in the water? Mass hysteria? Enquiring minds want to know … |

We asked a couple a question on that private question, public answer game and they started a thread with the question we asked …could have credited us with inspiring them
We often get people commenting something on threads - usually thirsty guys

To be fair a lot of people that are new don't know not to do this as is give you the option to reply privately . I also may message a fellow forumite with a comment on thread that not for public consumption . |

I don't understand why this would be problem if any othere forumites think that wrong speak up and I'll stop .
Because like newbies i see there button to message privately and used it because it shows the thread reference . |

Just random 'lurkers' posting random thoughts on random threads to random you? Or what is something you were part of?
PMing is just part of the forum imo, don't know why people use the term lurker. In my view people are entitled to read the forum without posting, or to contribute via PM when they do. When you read them you can usually see why they've done it that way. pt |
