Solihull and Brentwood

Between 15 to 20.

About 50% were safe.

Only one went to the great scrap heap in the sky. A Cortina. That you could see the front wheel, while driving.

It also had a hole in the petrol tank that you couldn't fill up, above half way.

14 that I can remember in 40 years of driving including 5 company cars. They were all in reasonable nick.

One of them did 354k miles in 8 years.

Flagrante

Had to really think about this and it's 27 and all but the first one have been safe...that one had holes in the floor, the roof leaked and it dies after only 6 months.

I’ve had far too many, and also never enough. The ones that were the most fun were almost certainly not safe to be in.

When I put it like that … cars are a lot like women aren’t they?

Less expensive but yes good analogy... Some need regular servicing, some can get by with just being filled up when they need it.

Didn't realise Swiss Tony was on here

6, 2 of which were unsafe. One of the unsafe ones didn't even have a working speedometer, you just had to guess.

Nine and not all safe. The Opel bonnet flew open as I was doing 60 on the A3, and the Astra caught fire and burnt the garage block down where it was stored.

Tamworth

8 cars I’ve owned personally, all safe. Although the central locking on my first was dodgy.

Until last November I worked for a car manufacturer and drove company product. I had a new car around every 6 months so probably around 16 cars and all safe.

I have only owned 10 including the one I have now, in 45 years of driving. All were safe. I was occasionally the wild card..
