Strange email...

This morning we recieved an email from a couple who we met on here, but not seen them or had much contact with them since last july.

The email said they were on holiday and had been robbed at gunpoint, and wanted us to send them 2,000 to help them pay thier bills over there and that we would be reimbersded within s few days of thier return to the uk.

I have pmd them via fab to say sorry but cant help.

I feel bad for them if its true but im not gonna give money to relative strangers.

Seems dodgy that they have contacted you who are relative strangers and not members of their family or( i dont know about this) couldnt the police point them in the direction of the embassy or some place they can get help

It is a scam and they might not even be aware or the email themselves.

Delete the email and keep communications with them to here only.

Thats our gut reaction too. The couple in question would never have started a message the way this one did, just dont feel right.

And the said couple were on fab 17 hours ago, last thing on thier minds if they just been mugged
