Which job/Professions has the most holidday?

The most I've had was 31 days plus bank hols

But some long serving local government people (friend and a family memeber) Have 33 days, plus bank holidays.

I'm guessing that teachers get 55 plus bank hols - is that the most in any line of work?

Local government workers depending on their job/role also get or can have 2 fleix days per a 5 week cycle if they do the hours

MP's get as many holidays if not more than teachers I think,

So who gets the most hols in the UK?

True, private schools close for a bit longer and often close and re-open before state schools. This allows their parents to travel just outside the peak period

I would not want to be an MP, but a teachers pay and hols in London is good. However, dealing with the children is not

In a previous career I used to get 16 weeks a year annual leave, now get 27 days plus bank holidays so still not too shabby

Including rest days from my shift pattern I reckon I would get close to half a year off. I get 9 full days off in a 3 week period. Plus either the morning or afternoon off depending what shift I’m on

Nope they work through all the school holidays and get about 30 days plus bank holidays. Lecturers don't just teach students, they have to run research labs too if science based or write novels or text books etc.

All over

Another opportunity to have a go at teachers no doubt as this thread develops - (I don't mean you OP). If you can do their job, go and do it. I know I couldn't.

The salary in London isn't relative to housing. I'm a teacher and on UC.

A modest amount of research reveals the answer is actually Reality TV Judge who enjoy, on average, between 25 to 30 weeks holiday per year.

Get applying!

We both work in education. He's a non-academic manager and gets 27 days + BHs. I am an academic manager and teacher and get 34 days + BH BUT.... Both of us have to use 2 days at specific times around Christmas/NY and my allowance is boosted by a 10yr service bonus amount.
