As I mentioned on another thread some guys block other guys if they fab their pic. Each to their own really and that's fine if it helps to assert their masculinity although the Thursday fab thread is just a bit of fun and nothing more than that. What I was wondering is, are there any women who got blocked after they fabbed a guy?

I've never looked honestly, I tend to just fab what I like, most of those aren't actually followed up with any view of communication. I guess I use fabs similar to social media "likes"

That’s exactly how I feel about them. A fab means ‘I like this picture’, for whatever reason.

If it lets someone know that I noticed them, and that leads to anything else later, then fine. But that’s not why I’m tapping the button.

I have all men blocked from messaging but the vast majority of fabs I receive are from men.

I've never blocked a man from fabbing but have blocked a woman who did.

Mainly because she used to also post statuses naming me and making suggestions for what my next pic should be.

I looked at my block list shortly after and she was still doing it and a few months later starting naming someone else..

That's it but people think you fab because of ulterior motive. I do either because someone said nobody fabs me for fun or because it is a nice pic which has nothing to do with attraction to the person etc. It is just a nice visual. But that is why I was wondering if it happens to women too.

I just fab a picture if I like it. I don't tend to go back and see how they've reacted. I'm just expressing appreciation, I'm not doing it with the goal of getting anything in return.

So I don't know if anyone has blacked me for it. They wouldn't appear for me any more on a browse and I wouldn't be actively looking for them

Well that was obviously inappropriate for her to do that. Sometimes things start as a banter and then you realise they are going too far. Sounds like you did the right thing to block and I would probably do the same in that situation.

It was in one of those threads that everyone was fabbing everyone. I never used to fab at all anyway but did on that occasion. I could not remember who I had fabbed from the list, clicked on profile again and then realised I had been blocked from fabbing one of their pics. To be honest is not an issue as we all block profiles for whatever reason. More of a surprise as it was done in the spirit of that thread and some people do take nice artistic pics which are easy to appreciate

I don’t fab anymore. Frankly it’s not worth the abuse from immature gammon.

I personally have no problems with other men fabbing my pics but I had to block men altogether because some were being bothersome and I don't want to be exposed to that sort of behaviour

I think due to the nature of this place, some would automatically take fabbing as a sexual thing but it can mean anything really

Dunno why you’d waste such energy on a fab

You'll find in time that a lot of people taking part in those threads have no intention of reciprocating fabs.

To prove a point a few years ago I fabbed every single woman and couple in a fabathon thread and winked every woman and couple in a wink thread that was running at the same time.

From memory that was around 40 in total.

I didn't receive a single fab or wink in return which is exactly what I had expected.

Don't take it personally. It's just how some people do fab.

I am ok with not getting fabs, that never crossed my mind and was surprised when I got a couple. What though surprised me more when this one blocked me because I fabbed a pic that I thought looked nice in an artistic way as some do. I would never cross any boundaries with people as everyone has their preferences and that should be respected. Your example is an interesting one though too.

I've no idea if I have been blocked after fabbing? I don't tend to go looking and check after.

Never blocked a man whos fabbed Mr's pics either. That seems a lot of effort for no reason.

I've blocked a couple of forum posters before as they made me uncomfortable and didn't want them looking at my pics but thats all really.
