when your body so big?
A small child asked me this when I lived in South Korea. It made me laugh because in Korea having a small head (stop it I know what you are thinking) is considered a good thing but a large body is not. I am still unsure if it was a compliment, a dig or just a genuine question.
I think about it often and it makes me laugh every time.
What have you been asked or told by a child that you have not been able to put out your mind? |

I am a chubby guy, with extras round my waste.
My friends child said to me i did not know men get pregnant.
I smiled and laughed.
Her mum was furious cause her daughter said that to me.

The wisdom of children.
I worked with young carers, they have many pearls of wisdom. The one that was most poignant, which really needs the context of her back story, but isn't mine to share. Was when she asked me: "why does everybody have to be so mean to each other". She was only 7. |

When my son was little we was going on a bus into town.
A pregnant lady got on and our son said loudly
" why's that lady got a big tummy"
Jools explained that she had a baby in her tummy just like I did with you
My son "oh"
A few seconds later a guy gets on with a huge beer belly
My son " Mummy, Daddy has he got a baby in his tummy also"
Everyone on the bus cracked up we then had to hastily try to explain that men don't have babies  |

I was teaching in this remote village in Sumatra, clearly they hadn’t seen white people before.
I was told I was handsome like Micheal Jackson and my girlfriend at the time was beautiful like Princess Diana. We still laugh about it now! |

I think I laughed and the poor boy was ushered away and I had to say not to worry to the teacher.  |

Ahhh yes. Not going to be clear on my gallery. But the photo my work decided to publish today is the reason I thought of it. And no definately not sharing that. |

I had a workmate in Leeds over 40 years ago. The bloke was older than me by about ten yrs. He had broad should and at least 6, 3/4" nice fit build, not a weighlifter or anything. However, I noted his head/face was too small for his body. I'd never say that but other workmates often called this guy silly names behind his back re size of face/head in proportion to his body
We have a family friend that has a long neck and one with hardly a neck
If one is lucky, everything would be in proportion to perceived norms
I was never really handsome but ok and got girls if I tried but now older, if I may say so myself, I'm an old git and out of ten for looks I'd givemyself a 3.
Looks are not everything as most of us know. |
