Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The rest of the world knows they're awful, but try telling their fans that!

by the big field

The Gaga lot are a bit Gaga- had half a dozen camping out in near freezing condition for 3 days to get at the front- bearing in mind there was two other shows before that one, security had to fence them off with bike rack to keep them separate from the other shows crowd.

The amusing part was, she was using 3 stages and there was no real 'front of stage' to queue for

There are two bands that really answer the OP's question...

Firstly in the USA hyper dedicated fans of The Grateful Dead who became known as "Deadheads" would follow the band around on tour for months even years at a time in their thousands, often even tens of thousands at the height of their popularity. For an band who only had one hit!

Secondly our very own Rolling Stones. Sure they have dedicated fans all over the globe but down in South America they really are loved. Especially Argentina where their fans are called "Rolingas" who have an almost religious cult like love of the band. They're not mere "fans" more so the Stones are a way of life and therefore THE most important thing in their life.

Rammstien they are very much a love of hate band.

But those that love them are die hard for them especially the women.

Their tours are massive the shows are the best you will see. they just sold out the 3rd consecutive European stadium tour in the first hour.

Fans travel across Europe to see them.

They are the new kiss

No really.

This band can put out ANYTHING & their fans will eat it up.

I’ve seen their fans eviscerate people online who diss them.

AC/DC coming up to 50 years old and still sell music/fill stadiums. Iron Maiden and Metallica are also up there (but not as old!).

ELO. I watched them at Wembley stadium about 4 or 5 years ago and was expecting the place to be a quarter full at tops and it was sold out ! One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at an outdoor concert

The Wildhearts for me. Whenever I see them, which was sometimes 2 or 3 times a year, you recognise most of the fans faces in there.
