Average is more like a slimish dad bod. I was told by someone called chubby fucker I'm average, not chubby.

There’s many fatter guys than you (such as me, much lardier!).
And I’d say there’s lots of fitter guys than you too.
Too slim to be average.
So it’s between slim and athletic, but not 100m runner athletic or top sports player athletic.
