"i know when the depressive side of me is drawing near as i start to obsess over cleaning - i take myself off for a walk - often " Walking works for me , too - fresh air and trees...
I caught sight of some TV program the other night and it was about some obsessive cleaners helping out some people who had problems with hoarding stuff, so kind of a win win situation. Did you see that by any chance? |

"I go to the gym and work out my stress on the weights. I'm a grumpy arse today so off in 10 mins." Strangely I prefer weights over cardio when it comes to stress busting... wonder why?

If it's just a matter of relaxing I get out my spinning wheel or sewing machine.
If I'm in a mood when my personal issues are getting to me then I often take my dog out for a day walking around the country park. It normally helps me to come to terms with things and lifts my mood again |

" I player perhaps - it was not long ago -maybe somebody else can help?
It was so interesting as the people with obsessive cleaning needs could really help those that lived in a dirty and over crowded place. I also thought it promoted a little understanding that some people have obsessive traits, others cannot keep a place clean and tidy but at the end of the day they were all humans... people and quite nice people as well. |

I have a place logged in my mind where I can go. It is from a lovely day in the English countryside, lounging by a gurgling brook away from the crowds. That's where I go usually.
Sometimes, I walk my yoga path up a winding mountain path to a pagoda at the top of the mountain where a crystal fountain flows. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh |

"Bottle of wine in the bath - lush!
Rumbling fake profiles - something both satisfying and arguably stress relieving for others! I asked for stress relieving... not reliving"
It's very stress relieving !
Maybe it's just me but I get a lot of 'wind ups' on site - I don't let them worry me and enjoy letting them think I'm suckered in. It's amazing how many are suddenly UNLOS once they realise they've been rumbled! |

Its interesting to see how many people do get wound up by hassle of day to day stuff - personally Work gets me reved up every day and unless i spend half an hour cooling down when i get in, I'm the bear with a sore head
warm bath - soft music and the thought of filthy sex helps me -) |

A nice hot lavender bath, pyjamas on and gettin in bed to watch tv or a film.
A drive out to the beach is lovely of a night listening to and watching the waves crash in.
Cuddles are a great stress reliever too for me.
Argh now I want to do all of these things tonight!!! |

Depending on the cause:
1. Get my record player out and loudly play some old vinyl.
2. Get lost in a good book (even better after reaching some kind of destination in no3)
3. Get in the car and just DRIVE! |

Driving does it for me - love it, never stresses me out, on the contrary
Different story though if I end up in a traffic jam... |

"Music for me love losing myself in it. Transports me away from my problems
MissD I love music - what sort do you listen to? "
Just seen this, me personally all sorts, classic to rock/heavy, depends on my mood but a good sing along and time to reflect does the soul the power of good. |

I pretty much listen to anything as long as its good, pride myself in finding unknown underground artists. Not really bothered if it has words or not just needs to be evocative and stir some kind of emotion within. |

Just reminded me of something I used to do... paint model aircraft. Unusual for a girl but I have always had a keen interest in flying. |

Taekwondo... Performing patterns for an hour or so, can distract you from the riggers of daily life. It is both physical and mentally challenging. Not everyone's cup of tea, but its a great stress reliver for me. |
