Just been reading a forum post on “the other site” from a TV, he is on hormones, looks nothing like a female, male bone structure of the face, adams apple, has a cock (which he likes to have erect in his pics) but wants to be known and treated as a female. His post was slating fabswingers for closing down his new profile he made as a “woman” are some people really that deluded? He will never be a female, never be able to think like a female and going by his face will never resemble a female.

Moaning and moaning that others should come round to his way of thinking and having a go at any guys saying otherwise.

Now I’m not against tv’s/cd’s etc each to their own BUT….where is the common sense?

I think the only common sense we can have in this world is let people live their lives how they want to live it. More love, less judgement.

TV - transvestite

TG - Transgender

Have you confused the two. Why would a TV be on hormones?

This is why fab needs to separate these two very different identities.

And I agree but you can’t label yourself as something you’re not on a sex site lol it would be a fake profile. It’s no different to a straight guy thinking he is messaging a straight woman to find out it’s a guy.

Not sure what good creating a transphobic thread is gonna do. On this site we are part of a community where there are openly trans people like anyone else you have a choice of who/what you’re into and that’s fine. But we certainly shouldn’t be shading anyone.

I don’t really have too much of a view on it really. Live and let live. Although if there weren’t any genital pics and they had woman on there I think that’s out of order as a straight man could meet them and be wasting his time. That’s deceitful. Saying that, it’s on the other site so why would a straight man be on there? On this site it would maybe be a bit different.

A discussion forum yes but not really a place to rinse people. It starts turning into a witch hunt and that isn't fair, not when we only hear one side of what's going on.

Life is hard enough, let people do what they do. Acceptance and understanding are traits we could all use more of.

Fab definitely needs to expand its criteria for genders on here to make things clearer

Quite a few trans woman on this site marked down as woman. I wouldn’t be very happy arranging to meet a woman and finding out they’re a trans woman.

A very strange discussion to start if you are not affected at all. Calls in to question why you would.

Is it to express transphobic ideas in an attempt to gain support or is there something else you want from the discussion, just as an example.

Oh dear another gender critical post from an OP who is repeatedly forcing gender specific pronouns on the indervidual. At what point does this become bullying and even when it has will the moderators even consider doing anything about it?

For the record, and to save people looking at my profile, I am trans and pre-op and very clear about that. Whilst on this sort of site I wouldn't advertise myself as female until having gone through reassignment surgery and even then I not sure that I would but that would be my choice. I also think regardless of which category I opt for I would make things clear in my profile text where I was with my presentation and treatment, although that does of course assume people actually bother reading it. The last thing I want is some turning up and feeling duped as that is one of the routes for transwomen being horrendously assulted.

I think if that person identifies as a female - then we should accept that. They should be open and honest about their situation - from what you have said Im assuming they’re a pre-op transgender woman who has started on a regime of hormones to make the transition from male to female.

I think as long as they are open in their profile and give people sufficient information to make an informed decision about whether they want to meet them then that’s perfectly acceptable. If someone just looks at pics - sees boobs and says oooh im meeting her without reading the profile… that’s on them.

Do you know she was duping people? Perhaps she was very open in her interactions with others that she was transitioning.

For me, it's not your worry that men might be duped; it's your stance that no matter what she does, she'll never be a woman. That's the crux of your post right there.

It's incedibly insulting.

I think, in a nutshell, the OP was simply expressing their disbelief that said trans person would object to having their profile removed for claiming they were a woman.

Given that I once had my profile removed/blanked for claiming I was a woman (I have all the correct bits and pieces) because one of my veris mentioned meeting with my hubby (therefore inferring couple), I’d say that’s pretty fair and consistent from the site admin team.

I don’t see anything particularly ‘phobic’ in what OP has written, or see any reason why putting it in the forum is any more or less personally impacting on the OP than any other detritus in here.

Some people see a bandwagon and just have to leap

Perhaps it's this that's giving off transphobic vibes...

"He will never be a female, never be able to think like a female and going by his face will never resemble a female"

Transitioning is a process. It's a process that doesn't deserve this kind of lack of understanding. It's difficult enough, not least because of how difficult it is to access treatment.

Thankyou, it’s nice to know that someone actually gets it I get what you were saying I just think the way you said it and the wording comes across as offensive.

Which I didn’t mean to sound offensive at all, so for that I will apologise if that’s how it came across "

So you apologise for misgendering her and for saying that no matter what she'll never be a woman?

Misgendering? I believe I am right to say the person isn’t a female, there is a cock between the legs, the definition is TG.

It has been suggested that transwomen don't think like women. Whilst I do 't have an answer on this I will make a few comments. Do you really think all women think in the same amorphous way. I certainly don't, my inderstanding is that women have a wide range of thought patterns strongly influenced but thier exoeriences in their for.ative years and any significant life exoeriences after.

Does changing your hormone balance shift your thought patterns? Absolutely I very quickly became more emotional and therefore empathetic. Does this mean that I think like a steroetypical female, I honestly don't think anyone knows but the reality is probably more so than most men but probably not fully as I have had different life experiences.

The repeated use of he (or him) in your posts is considered misgendering unless the indervidual has identified with these pronouns. Certainly in a workplace it would be seen as a form of attack/bullying.

Exactly, medical assistance to transition is typically difficult to get, its not the handing out treatment like candy some of the printed media likes to suggest. As far as I know the NHS adult gender clinc waiting lists are by far the worst in the service. Once you start treatment the GPs are meant to assist but many do what ever they can to resist doing so.

The medical procedures are painful and requires prolonged ongoing post treatment care by the patient, but from those I know who have gone through them less so than carrying on with the constant body dysmorthia. Other treatments like electrolysis is like getting you face tourtured for an hour or two a week for months.

The surgery seems not only painful and stressful mentally, it’s an extremely long wait on the NHS to get or incredibly expensive to go private and I feel unbelievably bad for someone suffering to get the medical help they need. The only but I don’t understand is how surgeons can make a man worse at driving

What's a straight guy doing on the 'other' site and you said in your OP that he has pics of his Penis so anyone arranging a meet would of already seen it...

It was a post about having their profile deleted from this site where he labelled himself as a female which he clearly isn’t.

Oh right. And how is this impacting on you?

It isn’t, sorry won’t bother commenting in the forum from now on, I thought this was a discussion site on all topics, I must of been mistaken "

This does raise an interesting question for Fab. Who do they allow to have a female profile (or a male profile for that matter). Anybody who identifies as a female? Obviously in the real world there are gradually rules and definitions being developed (eg in sport related to testerone levels etc.) but here where should the line be drawn and how can that be enforced? I don't know the answer but it is an interesting question.

Well I guess if the site asked for government issue ID would resolve it ... though many TS like myself have Female passports/driving /Cards.

I choose to have TV/TS listed as I find its easier than having female listed . as there Is such a high volume of fake single female profiles on this website, its hard to stand out amongst them I guess ..

As a TV/TS and one that looks as I do I am very rare on this site, so it's easier for me to stand out within the bracket . which inturn leads me to get lots of messages / hit rates ... in short it is the path of least resistance at trying to find meets

Ya know,

I bought a Ford Sierra, I stripped it right back, changed the exterior/interior, upgraded the engine, stuck brand new Ferrari stickers on it, cost a fortune. People would look at it with envy, it was a great ride and the pleasure was fun to drive. BUT deep down - the base it was all built on was still a Ford Sierra and nothing would or could change that.

With your response - its the same, you find it insilting but deep down you know you can change everything you want but you can never change the fact the person in question was and always will be a Man genetically.

Food for thought

What I mean by this is as a TS that has had lots of surgeries / boob jobs/ facial feminisation surgeries etc I have not really come across that many on here that have come along this far so far surgery wise within the fab TV/TS community and those that do the bulk seem to be shall we say meeting for donations ... hopefully more and more will though pop up over the coming years

But the difference is:

It's just a car a collection of nuts bolts and wires.

A Trans person is a collection of living breathing part's a sentient being with feeling and thought who has the ability to decide what is the best for them and how they want to be.

I'm a man my wife is a woman no-one question's that or force's us to be something which we are not,why shouldn't a trans person be given the same respect and choice?

Did your Ford Sierra have feelings and emotions? Did it suffer extreme distress with how it looked outwardly compared to how it felt on the inside? Was it ever suicidal? Did it have years of therapy to try and reconcile the feelings it had? Did it have an actual diagnosis of gender dysphoria?

Somehow, I think you're missing the metaphor,

Regardless of it being a non living or living item.

Facts are facts.

I'm not against anyone's choice, but we cannot change our genetics, we can only change what makes us "feel" what we believe.

Many of the trans community try very hard to do this, trying to force themselves to feel 'normal' and live in their assigned at birth gender. Unfortunately it is often a one-way trip to depression and suicide/self harm ideation and has killed many.

On fab I get it that some guys just think with the cock and will go in blind as they are stupid but even so its mind blowing people dont speak to someone first and discuss it there .

Stealthing is a bad thing absolutely in meets for trans people. in America its quite fatal often as well , I had 2 trans friends murdered this way picking up guys at clubs and well it got violent when it was found out they had balls ..

Generally the biggest risk to a man is just being embarrassed , the risk to the TS is death/violence as a reaction .

couple, us we him her.

I do think we are all missing an important factor here:

Not so long ago being homosexual was considered illegal in this country, that changed.

Two people of the same sex are now able to marry and be treated the same as people from the opposite sex.

Different religions are allowed to practice openly.

People from different ethic backgrounds mix and thrive alongside each other.

What we need to realise is how lucky we are in our country we are able to continue to grow and expand our outlooks and have empathy for others.

Yes there's always going to be a difference of opinion some will never change some will embrace it.

But the fact that we have the choice is what matters others in this world don't have the choice to even live a full life as the sex they are let alone the sex they want to be.

Viva la difference

Peace and love to all xx

"What’s a straight guy going to do if he arranges a meet with this person then realises there is a cock in between the legs lol

I very much agree with this.

It's not safe for either of them.

It's also a fake profile if the person with a cock and a woman's profile does not make their current situation clear.

Though this day and age who would meet someone blind anyway without having a video/phone chat prior anyway .... well I the real life dating world you would ...

Exactly.

Hmm. I saw that post too and the OP was generally told that they shouldn’t make a female profile.

But here’s the thing. That person clearly is someone in transition. She, and yes I will use the pronoun she, looks good and is very honest in her profiles. She hides nothing.

She clearly is not a TV, but isn’t a natural born woman. There is no category for what she is, so as long as she’s clear, what’s the problem?

No one is going to suddenly turn up and find a surprise cock. In fact she’s more honest than those who drop 10 years from their age or forget they’re married.

You’ve made this post, purely to cause a bit of outrage and to make yourself the centre of a popular post. I know who I think is the more honourable.

All this TV,TS well I believe Fabswingers is right not to allow a profile as a woman.

If I meet a TV,TS then I know what to expect. Meeting a woman I also know what to expect.

For me it's that simple

Here's a question?

If an archaeologist looks at a human skeleton it's sexed as male or female biologically.

If you chop your winky off you are still male?

I'm very confused !!!

"I think, in a nutshell, the OP was simply expressing their disbelief that said trans person would object to having their profile removed for claiming they were a woman.

Some people see a bandwagon and just have to leap "

depending on the degradation of hip / pelvis bones which is why they usually determine skeletal sex from ages past ... though its not always accurate 100% as has been noted before where remains have been thought of as male but turned out female and vice versa, though its quite rare this day and age and with technology getting better I guess it will be easier .

I was talking to a really nice guy few nights back I saw that he was a bit more feminine than usual, so out of curiosity I asked what are your pronouns to which he replied she/her.

I totally respect people who prefer what pronouns they prefer to be addressed as, she/he was still a genetic male and you can't force others to belive that she/he is other than a genetic male.

The use of pronouns in the gay community has different connotations and accepted uses, it’s not about gender identification. Just adding that.

Thing with pronouns is they really don't come into play in 1 on 1 conversations .. as its either we, you or I , when we use terms like he/she its mostly in a 3rd person term , as in you are talking about the person to someone else . well if I am not present in that conversation how can I be concerned what others say about my gender . plus none refers to themselves in a 3rd person narrative when speaking on themself right

"Ya know,

I bought a Ford Sierra, I stripped it right back, changed the exterior/interior, upgraded the engine, stuck brand new Ferrari stickers on it, cost a fortune. People would look at it with envy, it was a great ride and the pleasure was fun to drive. BUT deep down - the base it was all built on was still a Ford Sierra and nothing would or could change that.

With your response - its the same, you find it insilting but deep down you know you can change everything you want but you can never change the fact the person in question was and always will be a Man genetically.

Food for thought

"

Sorry but that's a silly comparison as the car doesn't care what it is. A transgender person has very strong emotions and the suicide rate is very high.

That’s very interesting, you’re implying you’re accepting and tolerant but then decide to tell me why I’ve done something. Just like many other have. Then ignore my explanations and reasoning and go on to tell me what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. Enjoy if that makes you feel good…..

I’ll clarify one last time, you can chose to disagree and that’s fine, that’s what a discussion is all about.

To simplify….

A male to female trans who by their own admission still has a cock, made a profile on here as a woman. Then in the profile explained their situation. The profile got deleted so it’s clear what the admin think. But that person then went on ***guys and complained about it. They feel they should be able to have a female profile on here. I disagree and opened the topic on here for discussion.

It’s nothing to do with their right to call themselves whatever they want. They can, and I agree that that’s right and reasonable.

And i wasn’t for one moment suggesting that they wouldn’t explain in a message exchange with a potential meet, and there be a situation where out it plops much to the surprise of the 3rd party. I have no idea what they may or may not say in a private conversation, it’s non of my business.

My point was quite simple, should the admin allow a person with a cock to have a female profile on here? Were they right to delete it?

Yes you can call yourself anything you want, but they are not a woman and in an environment when fluid gender crops up, why not be 100% open when you’re not 100% through the process of reassignment?

Tim hat on, popcorn fetched, knock yourselves out. But I’m identifying as a woman that doesn’t think people who are not women should be able to say they are on a sex hookup site.

A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, one is referred to as a girl.

Typically, women inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and are capable of pregnancy and giving birth from puberty until menopause.

I'm not against anyone's choice, but we cannot change our genetics, we can only change what makes us "feel" what we believe.

Could you define what a woman is please?

An adult female human being

So you believe that a person cannot be a woman unless your defined sex at birth is female?"

I'll copy & paste what I said before.

A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, one is referred to as a girl.

Typically, women inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and are capable of pregnancy and giving birth from puberty until menopause.

" I had 2 trans friends murdered this way picking up guys at clubs and well it got violent when it was found out they had balls ..

Really "

Years ago the badge of honour used to be knowing someone who had died from AIDS.

Do you honestly believe genetically a woman can be anything other than a woman! Or a man genetically other than a man?,

Hence anyone whom decides to go through the process is a "Trans" and will always be a "Trans".

The thread will fill up soon but having just read the whole thing from scratch a thought occurred to me…

Why wouldn’t a trans person want to be a trans person? Do they have something against the term “trans”? A term that they probably cling to for quite a while.

Not a great metaphor and some will love to say it’s not ever close, but a recovering alcoholic is not a non drinker. They don’t call themselves tea-total. What they were before impacts their lives for the rest of their lives and they honour that.

This is a thread where apparently knowing people who died a horrific death from an incurable disease was once a badge of honour. Fab has reached a new low.

A woman isn’t a genetic or medical term, it’s a social term. So genetically a woman can be a great number of things. What is known by science changes, the meaning of words change (girl, for instance, was the word used to describe male and female children up until a few hundred years ago.)

There is so much we don’t yet know, or is too complex for us to comprehend, so we simplify it. I just think it is dangerous to say things like ‘facts are facts’ when the things considered to be facts a century ago are now known to be false, or incomplete at best.

1.7% of the population are born intersex, that’s about the same percentage as people with green eyes. How many people do you think we knew were born intersex 100 years ago?

TV's are not women and never will be women, you can remove what you like, it doesn't change the Chromosones you were born with. TV's should be okay with them being know as TV's or (TGirls or whatever but not women) and that's it, it's their choice to change who they are. It seems most TV's tend to be men who want to change their sex and few women wanting to do the same, feel free to do so.

But, do TV's ever concider, that from a real womans (now renamed as cisgender woman or ciswoman, to clarify born female) of view that they may not wish to be associated with males in essence playing females and find this uncomfortable or even offensive?

It's not woman's choice to be associated with someone of the opposite sex transitioning, do TV's ask women how they feel about what essentially is a male posing as a female? Having to share facilities with people who are not women?

In the last year TV's seem to be all over fab, as once gay men where, and who now have their own site fabguys.

Should TV's have the same type of site just for themselves (fabTV's) which would be for TV's to meet people just looking for that gender?

All over

I am not massively informed on the subject but would be ashamed of myself if I ever posted some of the stuff posted on here or persistently try to be divisive in the way some are. I don't have to agree with everything but I respect people and in my book diversity and inclusivity is enriching everyone's life in some way or another. Live in peace and harmony
