Just because it's not used for burials doesn't mean there aren't still people putting flowers on for anniversaries or poppy day(many graves have memorial inscriptions on,especially world war one where someone is KIA and their body was not recovered or blown to pieces,"no known grave",or they were buried abroad)Anything in a graveyard other than tidying a grave or laying flowers is disrespect. |

I love old grave yards. The old carved stone crawling with ivy, the calm, listening to the birds. I find them very tranquil Yes, i've had sex in them but not because I was trying to be edgy but because its an outdoor space that I feel at ease in. There are dead bodies lying beneath our feet wherever we go. The planet has been around for a long time and so has humankind. We do seem to have a thing for planting them in the ground. |

In my youth I did... but this was in the daytime... find a secluded corner a bottle or two of dry blackthorn cider... that was my idea of romancing a girl....

I used to live opposite a graveyard, looking at that everyday when washing up certainly makes you think about life. A constant reminder that life is short.
Some mornings when the fog hit it it looked very pretty. And the way the flood lights hit it at night through the railings.
But never did I think about having sex in it. That's just weird. |
