My nan’s spare room.

I’m not talking about only sniffing the toilet seat after a hottie has sat on it rathe than licking it, or sliding in a fanny when anal was an option.

No, I’m talking about being careless or on the other side being overly careful. For example I always try and get the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube before starting the next tube. On the other hand I’m a bugger for allowing corvettes to go off before I eat them.

I am never wasteful Fiddle... I eat ALL fresh food FIRST wether I fancy it or not , so that it all gets used up.

Yesterday I threw half a carrot away as i'd been using it bit by bit to add to a salad but it had gone bendy in the fridge and I guess that is what happens to your courgettes.

It will go on my compost heap tho .... so not a total waste and i'd eaten most of the bugger. Massive it was.

In reality I’m with you there. I’m very keen on recycling leftovers. Why is it a curry seems better the day after.

All over

I try my best but don't always succeed . Especially with jar things that say once opened must be consumed within 4 weeks or so, like mayo or tartare sauce etc. The ocassional bit of lettuce or the odf carrot as granny said that might go limp too. Other than that, as I said, I do my best. Oh and lots of clothes like shirts and stuff that don't always need but temptation takes over. I am good at sorting old stuff and give to charity though.

I throw too much vegetable waste away.

I partly blame supermarkets for selling too much for one person to use before it rots.

Local shops have smaller amounts but they're usually inferior quality or sitting outside on a busy road collecting traffic dust.

Agree, not to mention their short life that they have. Quality of fresh produce has gone downhill recently

La la land

I used to be with food, but that was due to my lack of organisation. I now have a meal plan before I go shopping and I batch cook so I don't tend to throw much anymore.

Things like toothpaste etc I will try and get every single bit out.

I hate throwing anything other than an empty packet/box/tube away, but with two fussy eaters in the house with me, it happens more than I’d like.

I’m really careful about wasting things. Can’t really afford to these days with the price of everything.

Careful planning and using the freezer helps with food wastage.

I also have those key things for tubes so you can roll them up and get every drop out.

My kids annoy me for food wasteage as I’ll end up eating whatever it is that they ‘no longer like’.

But the caveat to that is, they’re autistic so I can’t be too annoyed or critical to them about it.

Great in McDonalds when they no longer like something, terrible when I have loads of spaghetti hoops in.

I'm actually terrible for food waste. I'm so unorganised and spend so much time running around that meal planning gets forgotten.

I waste very little. I buy my vegetables from the farm shop, so they last longer and any that go beyond usable just go on my compost heap.

I mostly buy my clothes in charity shops.

I look after the stuff I own, so it doesn’t break easily either.

Lick the jam up squeezed out of the doughnut accidently.

No I’m the opposite these days. I meal plan and batch cook then portion and freeze stuff for the month. Also obsessed with olio and will give away stuff I don’t need on there and collect waste from supermarkets and redistribute locally. Having seen how much food gets wasted it’s now a thing in my house
