The thread title labels, what do they mean to you? What do you see as the difference between them?
Which do you want?
I want a kinky boyfriend but as I'm open to an open relationship perhaps what I want, someone would view that as an FWB?

For me a fwb has to be a friend so I take my time choosing the right one. We need to have things in common as talking is as important as the sex. I would expect to be in communication on a regular basis. A fuck buddy would be someone I communicate with when I want sex. |

I'd love a boyfriend but probably more likely to find a FWB. And I agree that lots of guys say they also want a FWB but just want sex. So I've given up on here for now! |

FWBs for me. People you can meet and do other things with as well as sex and have regular contact with when not meeting. A lot say this is a relationship but it really isn’t. It’s a bubble, we won’t be meeting each others families or ever getting more serious. Feelings are fine and inevitable sometimes when it goes on for a while.

I don’t draw a distinction between fb and fwb. To me, both are a regular, without commitments or emotional attachment. I still enjoy the company and intellectual stimulation of both.

I think I ultimately would like a boyfriend because I want emotional intimacy and someone to share life with but I really struggle with commitment and have trauma which makes me put up massive barriers. I get bored with Fbs because they bore me because there is emotional attachment and with fwbs sometimes I choose someone that doesn’t quite meet my relationship requirements but I still enjoy spending time with them and enjoy their friendship. |

Friends with benefits as a minimum.
To me a fuck buddy is someone that you don’t particularly like, but that you have great sex with. I have moved past even wanting this as an option.
It certainly doesn’t stop me from enjoying life being single though |
