Do you find it when you've said goodbye to a beloved pair of shoes that were love at first sight, begin looking for a suitable replacement, and everything you come across is not even close?
Being picky / fussy with shoes is more a curse than blessing |

I need a new pair of trainers and recently looked on the Sports Direct website. Lots to choose from so I went to the local store and nothing caught my eye.
I feel your pain!
However I'm tempted by the Skechers slip ons as I'm a bit lazy with shoe laces. |

"Yep, I feel this pain. I have weird dumpy feet and trying to find suitable ones that are comfy are a nightmare
What are weird and dumpy feet? "
Well, they look small. I have little toes but they are wide and well dumpy |

"It's the worst. I'm trying to salvage some of my favourites until black Friday when I can get some suitable replacements."
Isn't it? I've said goodbye to the most stylish leather shoes from Jones the Bootmaker that had been already repaired once. Can't find anything remotely appealing to replace them
I've even done proper funeral rites . Haven't had the heart to throw them away. |

"My favourite shoes broke on a date recently, I’m absolutely gutted about having to replace them "
Was it a broken heel? Happened to someone I met once as we were walking back to the hotel from dinner. We both laughed at it |

Nice to be able to be picky and fussy. Size 13 feet, you get what you are given. It is even worse when you look at high heels, and other womens fashion footwear. |

"Definitely especially golf shoes
Never wore any. Some look nice but also heavy! "
Yeah finding ones that are comfy, supportive and lightweight is a bugger. So when I find some I like I by a few pairs coz the manufacturers tend not to stick with a model for more than a year. Guess the same for football boots and tennis shoes etc |

They were heeled boots! No idea what happened, we were walking from one bar to the next and the entire sole just split away from the boot |

"I have plenty more to choose from
And it's an excuse to go shoe shopping...not that I need an excuse, but in the interests of attempting to not look like Imelda Marcos "
I hear London is the perfect place for shoe shopping
Your collection would give Imelda Marcos a run for her money |

"I can’t relate to this thread at all. I’ve never loved a pair of shoes that much. They’re just shoes!!
"
You haven't found "your" shoes yet . I was absolutely gutted when I discovered holes in the soles of my beautiful flats, after only having them for under 7 months. And the response from the shop (basically it's been more than 6 months, nothing we can do apart from recommending a company that could fix them, at buyer's expense) put me off the company. Despite their shoes being beautiful! But I expect my shoes, that I paid over £100 for, to last more than 6 months. Luckily, I can still wear them when it's dry. |
