What things can you really not deal with because of how it feels?

Ok, I've had a lot of grief from my family about this - cotton wool.

Those excruciatingly fluffy balls of cotton wool. Even writing about them is making me wince. I CANNOT be near them.

They do feel really weird in your hands! Cotton pads much safer

I'm not sure I have a texture sensory thing? Which is weird because... me. Other senses yeah. Texture no.

The thought of sandpaper makes my teeth go edge, same as rowntrees fruit pastilles but I can suck them.

The smell of chlorine or bleach makes me gag, I'm the worst person to go to swimming centre with.

The smell of homemade play dough makes me instantly puke.

If there are too many noises at once and I'm supposed to be listening to one, like someone's voice then I'll get very stressed and maybe even cry at being overwhelmed by it all.

The Four Corners

Im super sensitive to some textures...Polyester, nylon anything 'scratchy'. Have been offered hugs from people in waterproof coats that I have had to decline with the rather panicked words get fucked. Its a big one for me.

Carlisle usually

Flour.

I make a fucking mean caramel shortbread. And I'd like to do more baking. But the idea of putting my hands in flour makes my skin crawl so hard I'm immediately rejecting the idea before it's even finished forming.

Covent Garden

I love my Åutumnal merino knitwear...

BUT turtle neck jumpers are a no-no. It feels like a hangman's noose, stifling and throttling. Obviously I'm not one for erotic asphyxiation.

Wooden cutlery.

I knowwww it’s all about saving the planet etc and reducing plastic waste, but I just cannot eat with them.

I usually keep a little travel cutlery set in my bag

Felt and velvet can go through me.

I love a lot of natural fibres, but that coarse wool itches the hell out of my skin. The name eludes me I have repressed the childhood memory.

And garden peas or anything that kind of pops in your mouth. Like that bobba tea stuff.
