^^ what she said. I'll be the crazy spinster in a shawl waving a stick at annoying neighbours! I can't wait "

I got married to Kerry when we were 7, around about that age, I think - in her wendy house.
We made daisy chains. It was all very cute. It didn't last. Her mate Katie caught me when we were playing kiss chase, there was a lot of drama involved. |

At 21 we spent nearly 10 years married to each other before we divorced..it was the worst thing happened to me .. sometimes loving the wrong person can destroy u in different ways that u never thought that they exist.. |

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe |
Met at 18, married at 23, separated at 47, when she fucked off with a bloke she met online. Been separated 12 years. Never got around to divorce, but should do, really.
Would never get married again. Too happy being on my own in the remote arse-end of nowhere, where I now live. |

Same. It's my aim to be an old man in a house full of cats that everyone is too frightened to approach and starts urban myths about. "
Just to prewarn you, it's these houses that get egged at Halloween |

Done it twice, widower twice, but I won't be contributing to the upkeep of any more any more undertakers limousine's. Each time I got the bill I came to the conclusion that I'm in the wrong line of business. |

I’ve been engaged twice (to different men).
That did me really. I was happy to have that partial commitment but then being free to walk away if/when I wanted.
I think that is probably due to my personal circumstances of being a child whose early years were spent in a domestic violence household. It sort of gets drummed into you to always have one bag packed ready to leg it at the first sign of trouble. I didn’t need that physically, but emotionally I think it has stayed with me. |

I've been similar with the engagement thing, and I've even put that off too (ie from my side).. not sure I would want to marry now. My childhood wasn't great, but my older-generation parents (both gone now) did actually stick together. I don't really expect to marry now, but who knows. It's just so much a how you both feel at the time thing! I've very much got used to this certain sense of 'freedom' now though I think. But yet after a year or so out I find I'm looking for companionship again. So who knows.
