I would say 95% still is made for the male gaze. Even “women friendly” is quite often what women think men want & it’s a just bit watered down….
Notwithstanding that we all like different things etc…. |

Yeah, 99.9% of it still is. Because porn follows the money. More accurately these days it follows the clicks, I guess.
There’s amazing porn out there being made for women by women. And a lot of it’s just all-round better no matter what your gender is. But … it’s in the minority. Big time.
Pile on top of that the basic fact that *everything* in every kind of media is influenced by being created in a patriarchal society with hang ups and preferences and biases that stretch back hundreds of years and aren’t easily overturned … |
