Yeah, sorry. Just imagine it's a sexier question.
My tariff is up but there's nothing on comparison sites, and no providers are offerIng me a fixed tariff.
Does that seem right?
Also, EDF have changed the UI on their website so it's not easy to see my usage over the last 2 years.
I'm pretty cynical about grifting, capitalistic cartels - but this all seems a bit too... fucking stupid?
Hopefully it's me being stupid.

"Yes, seems "right" to me. Though it's all crap anyway.
It's because of the cap in place at the moment. All the energy companies are charging the same amount."
Ahh, ok. I thought I might be being simple about it all.
Gouging bastards. I've got a 1 bed flat (although pretty large), all electric and EDF are absolutely bending me over at the moment. |

As it comes up to Winter, you might wanna sacrifice a lower capped gas unit rate for a very high standing charge.
Also, if you refuse to pay or so you can only paid £20 a week or something, eventually they will put you in the hardship and you should get a credit of around 1/4 of the total amount outstanding. You gotta have a bit of tenacity and don't stress out , it’s not real money just numbers in a screen |

I don't even have gas. I'd live to pick a high gas price combined fuel tariff!
It's not worth me contesting it... I was just shocked how much my bill went up even without heating. There's definitely a disgusting amount of abuse going on.
Guy Fawkes had the right idea.
Cheers for the responses - thought I might be just being a bit of a dimwit. |

It is going to be harder this year with no extra support like the £67 per month they gave last year for a few months. All the talk about prices coming down but none of that is happening. Mine nearly trippled last year in the winter months. |

"Awwww... nuts.
Anyone want to buy any feet pics?
I haven't trimmed in a while. "
Boke feet!
Just away to re look myself at this and prices.
I signed up for Martin Lewis's money tips so away to check my emails.
The last one had what you'll pay from October about switching and latest price cap predications. |

Also with edf and also had a tariff end recently, they had already put my cost up to an unaffordable amount so I called them and said I can’t pay that, we agreed on an amount in the middle and come the end of the tariff they owed me £500 even though I have smart meters. so don’t hesitate to go back to them and tell them you won’t pay the amount they are asking for and settle on a figure that is more manageable. Then just be super sensible with how much you use so you don’t end up owing them a fortune.
As mentioned by others, all of the companies are charging almost exactly the same amount now and fixed deals are few and far between so just have to sit it out |

Not sure how they compare, Octopus have fixed rate tariffs again. Only for existing customers though I believe.
I did actually manage to get a refund from them recently , which I’ve not been able to since the prices went crazy.

Just fixed my dual tariff for 12 months with Octopus.
Recently came off a fixed dual 24 month tariff with London energy (part of Octopus), they were absolutely brilliant. |
