I don't mind it. I get cute a lot. Joy of having chubby cheeks and a moon face. I think men might see it as being a sign of them not being sexy? Like men who are cute can't be sexy. That's not the case. |

I get called cute when i send a face pic then communication seems to stop. It's not a positive thing for me, but a polite way of saying you're not as stunning as I thought. Normally. |

Only partially confirming! I meant to say vary and not very.
I've told my ex's they were cute in the past, because they have looked cute. Snuggled up on the sofa wrapped up in a big hoody/blanket watching tv/movies - they looked cute in that moment. It wasn't me downplaying or softening the impact. |

If the guy has been told he is cute, with a wink, then that is a plus, an indicator that he has something going for him and that is s good thing. It is not fair to try and make out it is not worth anything or not deserved.

Cute is a positive...
But it's can be context dependent and also can just be a particular emphasis at a point in time. To me, she may look particularly cute in a certain situation / scenario. That doesn't demean she isn't hot as fuck..or annoying as fuck at the same time. |

When someone I care about calls me cute I usually pout. Which doesn't help my case.
It used to bug me, but at the end of the day, someone I care about is saying nice things about me to their mind, and that's a lot, even if it's not the language I'd choose for myself  |
