The world isn’t more “offended” or sensitive anymore now than it used to be. We just live in the time of DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY now.
That lil square on your hand has connected you to the thoughts, feelings, points of view & opinions of everyone on the planet.
People who don’t look like you, live like you & people you probably wouldn’t even hang around with.
It’s like having the power to read people’s mind. Coz they mostly wouldn’t say these things to another's face |

"The world seems to be offended by one thing or another so this is YOUR chance...
What are you offended by?"
Not easily offended, I just don’t have the interest half the time as arguing is pointless on some points. Always happy for a random discussion though. More of an eye rolling type if someone says something ridiculous or daft that I see differently etc. |

It always gets me how people manage to make saying something offensive about another person, that other persons fault. “Oh I said something wrong and you’re hurt by those words, well that’s your fault!”.
What kind of double speak nonsense is that?
If you’ve offended someone then own it and try to be better. Just don’t be offensive |

I agree, and even if they don't know why something could've offended someone, at least have an open mind to understand why it could've been seen as offensive instead of doubling down because they have a fragile ego. |

The trend today to take offensef or pointing out a double standard on here.
You are then subjected to childish name calling. Disagree with me by all.means but make the alternative argument decent one. |

People touching my hair without consent.
People asking me where I’m really from and where my parents are really from.
People asking me to speak on behalf of all Black People for their personal knowledge bank.
Non Black people using the N word.
Non Black people being highlighted in BHM ( not really but I’m on a roll of pettiness here)
People asking if I know random Black people
Non Black people policing my Blackness
People that don’t experience anti black racism talking about how I, a Black person, should feel about it
People that don’t want to allow safe spaces for Poc
People that overly racist
People that don’t think the windrush scandal and its handling has any racial dynamic
People that say I look like *insert Black person* just because I have the same hairstyle
People that wear hats at the dinner table. |

I disagree the world (majourity) is not offended by little things. What is highlighted though people with strange, extreme or overtly hypersensitive awareness perceptions that may or may not exist.
To these people I would be worried for them and there children. It must be lonely growing up thinking the world is against you. Rather than Engagement to create a narrative and understanding.
However where there is true descrimination there can be no dialogue. Because denying the freedoms and existence of somebody cannot be tolerated.
But that's easy for me to say as a blond hair white guy from Essex who does not have to face the same descrimination as my ancestors. |
