So, you've got a hot social/date/meet (had to include it sadly) lined up.
Who do you tell? A romantic partner? Fwbs? A fuckbuddy? Friends? The world?
When would you like/hope that someone would tell you about it? |

My best friend always somehow knows. We make time every day to chat despite our geographical distance, and he knows me so well that he will instantly say, “alright tell me about them…” shortly after only saying hello.
I did ask how he knows and he smugly told me he just knows me and can tell.
For safety, I share details (who, where, when) with my nesting partner before a meet. Don’t always share about the meet afterwards as they prefer to not be told but will ask when they wish to know. |

"My best friend is on fab and her and I share everything. It's fun and we give each other a sanity check and a safety net."
A sanity check and a safety net? Perfect. That's needed sometimes. Both probably equally. |

The life of sexual adventure can be heady stuff.
My friend enjoys an element of risk by meeting strangers. I enjoy an element of emotional connection and that means a certain amount of vulnerability. We both benefit from others relative objectivity. |

I used to tell my best friend and message her with a address or house photo in case anything "bad" happened. In recent years ive come to realise that I'm more likely to be the serial killer so I keep it quiet. I only tell the guy that sells the big shovels, polythene bags and duct tape in B&Q on a "need to know" basis ;-p |

Why buy new every time? Bulk buy and keep them in the shed ready for last minute meets. |

"I always keep things to myself. I'm just that type of person.
You wouldn't tell someone you're in a romantic relationship with? "
I was mentioning how I was when single. It doesn't apply now as I'm not meeting or seeing anyone else. |

Depends on the boundaries of the relationship. A romantic partner, that's a definite yes.
I also have a friend. We have no involvement in each others lives, just see each other. She's a legend we bounce anything we need to off each other. |

I tell no one. I told a friend that I had been on Grindr. She said, don't fret (seriously) and made her excuses. I haven't heard from her since! |

A social with someone new, at least one friend will know where and when and be on alert for a check in.
An actual date with someone I already know, it might get mentioned in passing to relevant people or some happy bubbles after, but I don't feel obliged to tell anyone if I know them well enough to do an actual date already.
Intending to be the first time I have sex with someone new, I'll inform my partners that it's a potential the first time, but if it becomes a regular thing then as long as they know I do see them I don't need to inform them of every occasion. |

The shed is already full of lime, you'll find the duct tape, nylon ties and hammer stored under the stairs |
