Do you have routine?
Are you the type of person that does their shopping on the same day each week? Has the cleaner on the same day or cleans the house on the same day?
Do you walk the dog the same time everyday, wake the same time, do a set routine in the morning when you wake up?
What happens if you break your routine? Does it all go to shit and leave you stressed out and unable to function?
Or do you find routine mundane and depressing and like to mix things up?
Or are just winging it all the time?

I have the same food delivered on the same day and I eat the the same meals every week. Ive found what i enjoy and stick to it. Makes life much simpler. Also means i can avoid asda and tesco madness!
May sound boring but I like what I like.
Food shops in person would be my version of hell. |

Mmm kinda? If I have structure in my day already, like a full time job with set hours, then yes absolutely I'll have a routine and disrupting it will annoy me. However at the moment, I've got a lot of freedom in my days and I'm a bit lazier with it all

"How about you PW? Do you thrive on a routine and knowing what needs doing when?

I have a mix. I have a bit of routine but I mostly wing it.
I don't have much choice in the matter though.
I did find a while back that executing a perfect routine each week depressed me so I actively try to avoid things becoming mundane and too ordered and I make a conscious effort to do something different and get out. |

I hate compartmentalizing and too much routine. How do you know you are going to feel in the mood for something?
But we live in a society where it's highly structured and promoted. So I interface with that as best as I can. I have work days and then I have days where I am not working. Fortunately, I enjoy my work.
I tend to blend things. Out of milk: good time for a walk/mooch. Kids have something naff on TV, good time to go on fab.
I'd rather do an unplanned roadtrip than a holiday with an itinerary. Organised fun is kind of an oxymoron for me. We all have to some degree of course, but I like to keep things open to some spontaneity. |

I need a degree of routine to keep me focussed and well. All my must be done stuff is part of a routine so that always gets done. Then I can pick and choose other stuff around that. I realised my winging it life was making me more chaotic. |

It's all fairly structured around work but my days when I'm off and don't have to be anywhere are just random depending on what I feel like doing. The dog likes his twice daily walk at the same time though! |

I have the exact same routine for getting out of bed every day, alarm, turn off, lay there for 2 mins contemplating life, turn phone on, be blinded by the screen light, call my phone a stupid fucking cunt, play on my phone for at least 10 mins to allow a complete wake up then it's normal morning routine which varies to what shift I'm on |

Aside from having to be at work at set days and times, I don't have any routine. I cannot abide it, I find it incredibly dull. Suffocating even. There are too many wonderful sights to see, too many fantastic experiences to have, too many fascinating people to meet, and too many delicious foods to taste. I have an innate curiosity, and having shepherd's pie for dinner every Friday and going to bed at 10pm every night isn't going to satisfy it. |

"I get up every day and go to sleep every (some) nights.
That's as routine as it gets lately.

I guess i do I have a gym routine and I generally do my main shop on a Friday then it’s food prep for the week on a Sunday.
It’s not set in stone though but it feel more efficient following it |

Yes and no. I tend to be a spur of the moment person. I'll clean the house when I see it needs cleaning, not on set days. Ditto for clothes washing / ironing. Don't cook the same meals on set days. Will go out randomly.
I do tend to carry out most of my food shopping on Friday and am trying to hit the gym most days after work and mornings on weekends.
No stress if things are done differently or don't go to plan. |

Structure is a better word. I have the same things I do but doesn't have to be on the exact same times. I don't like chaos or last minute changes to things, stresses me out. |
