The long wait…

I recently applied to a writers development program. If I’m successful, my life will be changed forever. If I’m unsuccessful, my life will still go on and the seasons will still change. It won’t be my first rejection (this ain’t my first rodeo, cowboy)

But it’s such a loooooooooong wait! And I hate waiting. I hate hate hate it.

Maybe it’s my autism, because I’ve heard other autistic people say this, but waiting is physically painful to me. Like, I actually get physically ill because of it.

What does everyone else do when they have a long wait? I’m currently trying to reach my reading goal so I’m keeping myself busy with my ever-growing stack of TBR

the land of tall tales and yarn

Firsly what is TBR?

I cook and bake and generally get on with the day in front of me.

Good luck I have my fingers and toes crossed for you

Schitts Creek

TBR - to be read

I feel your pain OP, what I do really depends on what I’m waiting for. I’m currently waiting for medical results and I’m trying to put it to the back of my mind and not think about it too much since even worst case scenario, there’s not a great deal I can do about it and worrying or stressing isn’t going to make them arrive any quicker.

.

I really hope it's worth the wait for you OP.

I'm rather patient with some things, not patient at all with others. I'm getting a lot better at waiting; normally I'll make sure a task is done, do the housework or have an everything shower or throw myself into learning more about my current interest. Sometimes going for a long walk in the woods, no devices, no music really helps.

You look like a movie. You sound like a song. My God this reminds me, of when we were young.

But on a serious note good luck. I hope you hear back very soon. Fab is always a good distraction anyway.
