So the HS2 line birmingham to manchester is scrapped.
The £36 biion cost/saving is gonna be invested in the North.
I'm giving you the key to the chest of cash....What ya investing it in ?

He said all of the money will be repackaged for northern transport projects…
So… Tyne and Wear metro extensions to both Blyth, ashington and Washington would be really easy and actually on the cheap side… also you could easily do a Tyne and Wear/Teeside metro network via Hartlepool and seaham

It’s a no brainier… the track beds are all there…
Build new metro trains and you could basically have a huge network like the Manchester metrolink |
