Have you ever gone to somebody for advice?
Somebody you thought could truely give you the word of God on what you should do, somebody you thought you could trust to point you in the right direction and have everything be alright?
Only to then have them fail, produce nothing of any kind of help or substance toward your dilemma and then not be able to see them as anything but a big let down and disappointment in your eyes forever changed by their lack of advice? |

I asked somebody who claims they love all things horror to provide me with their favourite horror movie as I wanted something to watch. They could not.
I then asked them to provide me with a decent horror movie to watch. They could not.
They then proceeded to tell me of something that starts good, but ends shit. |

Maybe they were worried that their favourite wouldn't live up to your expectations and they didn't want to disappoint you. And then forever be a failure in your eyes.

Once yes. But as time went by I realised why, this was something only I could fix. He knew it , I knew it eventually. I remember all the times when we go running together and he gave me advice, he was / is still a good friend |

Yes. It takes a lot for me to ask for help or advice as I don't usually like to admit I need it. I had something important that I needed help on though and asked advice from family. One family member helped but the other fobbed me off and I felt very let down. I shouldn't have been surprised as it follows a pattern that's been going on for several years now but what I was asking was similar to what they do for a job and they go on about how they are there for me and I can ask for help so thought this time may have been different. |
