I was not agreeing rather questioning such a genarilisation made about a whole county and its people. But then people are allowed their opinions I suppose. Yorkshire is full of great places and some very nice people indeed. |

I miss home. I am living in the South West and really miss being in Yorkshire.
Folk are friendly enough here, and aren't at all like the shandy drinking Southerners in the South East. But saying that, them's not as bad as them from wrong side of the hills. They shall remain nameless and they are shit at cricket.
I fly my white rose flag high up on 1st of August.

I am only half Yorkshire. My mother was born in Leeds.
I love the directness and total disgust with bullshit that most Yorkshire folk have. Plus their willingness to chat to all and sundry about just whatever.
However, my extremely south eastern side also recognises that wherever you are from, lies are lies, mean and evil is evil, whichever part of the planet you happen to have been born into.
On a purely sexual level though, the accent makes me very moist   |

Some of the parts that claim to be in East Yorkshire but are infact Humberside,quite possibly are ! "
Humberside hasn't existed since 96, hate that it's still referred too

That's a difficult one. I live on the far reaches of West Yorkshire, within easy walking distance of both South and North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire can't be far away, but I don't actually know where the border is...however, I have a brummie accent, so I doubt you would say I'm 'from' Yorkshire.
I was once told, never ask a man if he's from Yorkshire, if he is, he'll have already told you |
