A couple of months back a friend told me jokingly that I have body dysphoria. I have reflected on this remark and he is actually accurate. This is something I have brought up with my councillor and she pointed me in the direction of someone who can help.
For all of you out there who also suffer from this or have done. What advise can you give? |

No apology needed. They get confused. I’m not a counsellor so you’ll want professional help (maybe) but central to dysmorphia is you have a distorted view of your body. You don’t see what others see.is that how you feel? |

That's exactly it. Sometimes I feel so unattractive, skinny, fat and I put myself down over it. I have a councillor but that is more to do with having cancer. She said that it was not something she could really help with. |

I have cancer. I'm going to be okay. If you are going to get cancer you want what I have. I go to counseling for it because I have not coped with the news very well and still struggle. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2019. |

Could they be connected? On your profile you describe yourself physically quite precisely, so clearly you can see yourself accurately (I’m assuming not seen pictures). When I look at your profile name also it might have negative tone about yourself. Just going on what I can see. You feeling ok I’m yourself? |
