… just to be the man who walks a thousand miles to fall down at your door
DA DA DA (da da da) DA DA DA (da da da)
Da dum diddly dum diddly da dum ..
Or something like that anyway.
But how many miles would (or indeed HAVE) you walked, or rather travelled, to have a bit of a knee-trembler with another Fabster?
I think the farthest I travelled was about 1 hr 40 mins around the M25 to meet a lass back in the day (can’t remember the exact mileage now) which was about half way as she travelled the same from her end.
Any more than that and the cost / benefit for a bit of hanky panky surely starts to get a bit marginal doesn’t it?
But maybe you disagree… how far would YOU go?

3 and a half hours each way once but the expectation on her part was that if I'd done it once there was nothing stopping me from doing it again every couple of weeks.
That was never going to happen.
These days, if and when I decide to meet again it will never be more than an hour and if they live outside that radius they are more than welcome to meet me half way. |

45 minutes down the M4 motorway
When I was in my late 20’s (and in between relationships) I travelled to Retford near Nottingham and York for some hot lurvin. I was up and down the motorways like a sex starved racing driver!
These days I have two kids, 3 dogs and a doddery ma to get back to!! |

That’ll get me to about Swindon, possibly. We’re never going to meet, are we? |

When I was single I done a few long weekends away - 5 1/2 hours - 2 coaches. Spent a long weekend in Plymouth and then across to Salcombe - it was great.
We go across to Anglesey to stay with a FWB every couple of months and that trip can be between 3 - 4 hours depending on traffic.
We both love to travel and happily will do for the right people.

Leaving London would be a far distance for me.
But, I’ve had someone travel thousands of miles to see me. Travelling on business and they travelled to meet me abroad, but it wasn’t a first meet. That would be weird. |
